There are those Americans who love their country, who are grateful for the rights and freedoms their nation grants them, who celebrate America's successes and acknowledge its failures, who praise its strengths and forgive its weaknesses, who respect and honor the price many Americans have paid to defend their country, who do not need a f*cking law requiring them to stand when the anthem is played.

Then there are those thankless cretins who despise America, who see America as the land of the gallows tree and the home of the slave, who see America as the world's bully, the oppressor, the trouble maker, whose desire is to "fundamentally transform America" into something it was never meant to be. There are those ingrates, those pampered, overpaid pussies in their pretty suits and pads and cleats who have gotten the best America has to give, whose prosperity exceeds by far the great majority of America's citizens, who have taken every advantage of America's free market for their own personal gain and gratification yet whose contempt for those who made it possible is nearly boundless. And, there are the malcontents who see these craven cowards as heroes.

I remember the day in July 1969 when people all over the world cheered America, who prayed for the success of our astronauts, who stood in the streets from London to Tokyo, waving American flags as they watched the TV screens and ticker marquees as two men descended a ladder to walk on the moon.

I remember the day in February 1980 when a group of American college kids stunned the world when they beat the greatest professional hockey team on earth and went on to win the Olympic Gold medal.

Now, we see gangs of racist pricks kneeling on America's finest gridirons telling the greatest nation on earth to get f*cked.

And, last and least, we see legions of sniveling worms like DJRich who cheer them on.

A little truth never hurts~~
In an email this evening, a veteran publishing source calls the latest Hillary Clinton book, Hard Choices, a memoir of her State Department years, a "bomb." The source is referring to the early but underwhelming sales figures.

"Between us, they are nervous at S&S [Simon & Schuster]," says the source, who gave permission for his email to be published. "Sales were well below expectations and the media was a disaster."

According to this source, a Simon & Schuster insider, "They sold 60,000 hard covers first week and 24,000 ebooks." The publishing house was "hoping and praying for 150,000 print first week."

"The 60k represents a less than 10% sell thru based on what they shipped," says the source.

It's been reported that one million copies of Clinton's book were shipped weeks before the June 10 publication date. "They will be lucky to sell 150,000 total lifetime," the source writes in the email. <snip>

Take bedbugs.

When I was a kid, my mom used to tuck me in at night saying, “Sleep tight, don’t let the bedbugs bite.”

And I wasn’t worried. Because there weren’t any bedbugs… not anymore.

You know the rest of that story. After being considered extinct for decades, those blood sucking bugs are back with a vengeance.

So I guess I shouldn’t be surprised to learn that the PLAGUE is still around.

No, you haven’t time-traveled to the Middle Ages…

This year 3 people in New Mexico caught the plague. And if this is a typical year there will be four more cases in the U.S.

Now, that’s nothing compared to other countries. There are outbreaks of plague with one to two THOUSAND cases every year worldwide.

One of the worst outbreaks in history was the “Black Death” that killed around 60% of the people in medieval Europe. It was so bad in some places, there weren’t enough survivors to bury the dead.

So what IS the plague, exactly?

Well, it’s caused by bacteria called Yersinia pestis. It’s usually carried by rodents and transmitted by flea bites. Just this year, fleas from prairie dogs in two different counties in Arizona tested positive for the plague.

There are three types of plague: bubonic, septicemic, and pneumonic. But bubonic is the most likely, with more than 80% of all cases in the U.S.

But there’s good news here, my friend.

First of all, your chances are pretty small for catching it. (Phew!)

Second, modern medicine has taken a death-warrant of a disease and turned it into a trip to the hospital.

Chances of dying from the plague if you’re properly treated with antibiotics are 11%. Now compare that to 60-100% chance of death without treatment. See what I’m saying?

The key is to get treatment ASAP.

If you get bitten by fleas from a pet or being outdoors and you develop a fever, headache, chills and weakness, best bet is to see a doctor. You want to make sure it’s the flu and not something worse.

To lower your already tiny chances of catching the plague, there are a few simple things you can do.

One, rodent-proof your yard by getting rid of clutter, piled up old firewood and pet or bird food outside.

Don’t handle any dead animals yourself – get the health department’s help. Use bug spray when camping or hiking.

And also think about your pets. Get a good solid flea control plan set up with your vet.

It’s been a long time since Ellie had fleas.

But who would think fleas could still give you and your loved ones a nasty case of the plague.

Navy Sailor Refuses To Stand For National Anthem - IMMEDIATELY Regrets It. WRITTEN BY DAVID MILLER A former Navy intelligence specialist recently took a page out of Colin Kaepernick's playbook and refused to stand for the national anthem during morning colors. However, she quickly learned she'd made a huge mistake.

Conservative Tribune reported that Petty Officer 2nd Class Janaye Ervin was stripped of her security clearance and assigned to menial labor for a few days before she was forced to leave the Navy for disrespecting our country so blatantly.

It all started on September 19, when Ervin refused to stand for the anthem when she was on reserve duty at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. The International BusinessTimes reported that Ervin claimed she was trying to make a statement about blacks being persecuted in the United States by doing this. "I just didn't want to stand at that moment," Ervin said "I can't stand for this song knowing that the song isn't for me, being black. The song doesn't represent me at all. To be honest, I never really thought about the flag my entire life, I had no reason to. It's just a flag."

The next day, Ervin's superiors read her her rights and gave her a warning about potentially compromising her security clearance, which she needed for both her military and civilian job. One day after that, she was stripped of her security clearance and escorted out of the secure area where she was working.

Ervin is now claiming that she was never told which order she was violating, but this is clearly a lie since she violated the 10th General Order for Sentries, “…To salute all officers and colors and standards not cased…..” which is taught in Navy boot camp.

All members of the Navy are required to memorize all 11 general orders in bootcamp, and they are aware that violating any one of them is subject to Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and is subject to whatever punishment is decided by court-martial.

On September 21, Ervin took to Facebook to publicly whine about how "unfair" this has been for her. "The Navy has decided to punish me for defending the Constitution and has taken away my equipment I need to do my Naval job," she wrote, according to PopularMilitary.com.

Hey, Janaye, the Navy did not take ANYTHING from you - you forfeited your own job when you knowingly violated a general order.

I still get choked up when our National Anthem is played. I remember the many years I was in service and the loud speakers on Base would play the Anthem at the lowering of the colors. Everyone outside would stop, even get out of their vehicles, face the direction of the flag, stand at attention and render a salute. It was always an honor, never an inconvenience. It remains so even today and especially for those of us who served. And then we have to abide the disgusting actions and attitude of this woman. Should be cause for a dishonorable discharge. "Breathes there a man so dead who never to himself has said this is my own, my native land!" Yes! America is chock full of them today and our schools are pumping them out by the thousands.
