Maine Physician Suspended, Ordered to Undergo Psych Evaluation After Prescribing Ivermectin, HCQ!

A physician who has practiced in Ellsworth, Maine, for decades has been suspended from practicing medicine for 30 days and ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. Seventy-year-old Dr. Meryl Nass’ practice was suspended after the physician was caught straying from the government-approved narrative on COVID-19.

Her real “crime” might have been prescribing ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine for patients suffering from the COVID-19 virus.

On January 12, Maine’s Board of Licensure in Medicine concluded that Dr. Nass needed to be suspended immediately and that her practice constituted “an immediate jeopardy” to those whom she might treat.

“The Board concludes that the continued ability of Dr. Nass to practice as a physician in the State of Maine constitutes an immediate jeopardy to the health and physical safety of the public who might receive her medical services, and that it is necessary to immediately suspend her ability to practice medicine in order to adequately respond to this risk,” the order read.

According to the Board, they had received at least two complaints that Nass was spreading “misinformation” on Twitter and on her personal blog.

In a January 16 blog post, Nass answered the charges of “misinformation”:

I would suggest that those attorneys who work for the Maine Medical Board look up the law regarding misinformation. They also should be informed that they do not make the law: law is made by legislatures and Congress. They have not been given the authority to create new crimes. My opinions, which are grounded in an enormous amount of fact and study, and are accurate almost all the time, do not meet the statutory standard of false information.

Nass continued, “I would further suggest that the Board attorneys inform the Board members of this. I think they might want to know that they have been handed a nonexistent crime to prosecute.”

Dr. Nass has also been accused of — and has admitted to — lying about a diagnosis in order to get a patient ivermectin from a pharmacy for a patient diagnosed with COVID-19.

“I was eventually forced, when the pharmacist called a few minutes ago and asked me for the diagnosis, to provide misinformation: that I was prescribing the drug for Lyme disease, as this was the only way to get a potentially life-saving drug for my patient,” she said when reporting herself for the incident.

“I lied and said the patient had Lyme disease and so the pharmacist dispensed the medication only because I lied,” she told the Board during a Zoom call.

The lie was necessary, in Nass’ eyes, because of a State of Maine Board of Pharmacy statement reminding pharmacists not to dispense ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19.

Nass also admitted to falsifying another diagnosis in order to obtain a hydroxychloroquine prescription for another patient.

“This is the gentleman for whom I prescribed hydroxychloroquine and was forced to inform the pharmacist was for a non-Covid diagnosis. That is because I was following the ethical principles of the AMA and other ethical codes of my profession,” the physician explained to the Board.

Previously, the Board of Pharmacy had issued a similar statement regarding the dispensing of hydroxychloroquine — a drug that many physicians have found useful as a prophylactic treatment for COVID-19.

Those ethically murky decisions to fudge diagnoses by Dr. Nass may be what ultimately cost her a license to practice medicine in Maine — an outcome that she herself predicted in one of her recent blog posts.

DirecTV's announcement it will not renew One America News' (OAN) contract in April has become a political hot-button – with leftists celebrating the move and former President Donald Trump teasing a boycott of AT&T at Saturday night's campaign rally.

"The free market in action," Rep. Ted Liu, D-Calif., tweeted Friday. "DirecTV drops fringe network OAN."

Former TV pundit Lou Dobbs tweeted a reminder earlier this week that President Joe Biden issued a call for media companies to work to silence "dissent."

"Corporate Media is crushing what little dissent remains: DirecTV Cancels OAN after Joe Biden Orders Media Outlets and Tech Giants to Banish Voices that Deviate from the Regime's Official Narrative," Dobbs tweeted.

Activist group Occupy, Democrats hailed the move as a victory, while Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, denounced the "purge," asking "who's next" in a tweet:

"The Left's purge continues:

- YouTube demonetizes Dan Bongino.

- DirectTV drops One America News.

- Twitter suspends Dr. Malone.

Trump blasted the telecommunications and media giant at his rally speech Saturday night in Florence, Arizona.

"The woke executives, I don't know what the hell they're doing, they have so much debt," he told a large crowd, teasing a "boycott" of AT&T.

"I'm not going to use the word boycott! I will not say boycott AT&T."
Well, this Captain takes issue with that, I say we all should show we are Americans and the commie left is not going to run us off!

The OAN news drew strong praise from liberal CNN, which is also owned by AT&T.

CNN's far-left media critics Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy, who were the first to call for Trump to be "de-platformed" from Twitter, have been pushing a complete ban on conservative networks from major cable systems.

"If you don't think Stelter, Darcy, CNN, The New York Times, Harvard, and the rest of the academic and media elites won't go all-out to ban Fox News, Fox Business, and Newsmax next, you're dead wrong," NewsBusters' Curtis Houck tweeted.

Stelter and Darcy pounced on the news of OAN's cancellation, calling it "a significant blow to OAN," which it rebuked as a "fringe network."

CNN's own ratings have taken a dive since Biden took office and in the wake of its own networks' media malpractice and scandals.

For years, CNN embraced and promulgated claims of a Trump-Russian collusion theory, reports that turned out to be with no substantiation.

And, last year, the network fired its lead prime-time host Chris Cuomo, after it was disclosed he worked closely advising his brother Andrew Cuomo as he fought several harassment claims by women.

"DirecTV's move will deal a significant blow to OAN," Darcy tweeted. "Not only will the fringe network be removed from the millions of households that use DirecTV as a television provider, it will also suffer a major hit to its revenue."

CNN's activism to censor conservative voices has spawned other left-wing groups to join the fray.

Last November, the left-wing media activist group Media Matters was one of 16 organizations that wrote a letter to AT&T CEO John Stankey and DirecTV CEO Bill Morrow.

"We, the undersigned 16 civil-rights, human-rights, and media-justice organizations, call on you to end your business relationships with One America News Network (OANN)," a letter read from 16 leftist groups, including Color of Change, Greenpeace USA, Common Cause, and Global Project Against Hate and Extremism.

That letter was just the catalyst in a series of events guided by activism against OAN, targeting its revenue stream from DirecTV and AT&T.

Amid CNN's calls for targeting opposing conservative networks, Reuters published an investigative report claiming AT&T and its subsidiary DirecTV were pivotal to OAN's economic viability.

Just days later, liberal comedian John Oliver called out AT&T, followed by a meeting the company had with the NAACP demanding that they "drop OAN immediately," according to The Hill.

Seems Adolf Hitler's regime is alive and well in America.

As we have seen all throughout human history, those that would like to impose tyranny upon a nation need at least a certain percentage of the population to go along with their plans. It doesn't even have to be a majority. All that is required is enough "true believers" to enforce the tyrannical dictates of the elite. Think back to the 1600, our ancestors burned many women tied to a post for someone screaming WITCH.

Many had assumed that the United States would always be immune from such a scenario because our Constitution guarantees certain liberties and freedoms. Unfortunately, we have not dramatically changed in recent years.

Today, a surprisingly large percentage of the U.S. population is openly embracing authoritarianism, and that should deeply alarm all of us.

If you think that I am exaggerating, let's take a look at some of the results of a recent Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports national survey.

"48% of voters favor President Joe Biden's plan to impose a COVID-19 vaccine mandate on the employees of large companies and government agencies"

All of the other results we will look at are specifically for Democratic voters, but this figure is for U.S. voters as a whole.

It should deeply grieve all of us to see that nearly half the country actually supports Joe Biden's unconstitutional vaccine mandates.

Have we really fallen this far as a nation?

Thankfully the Supreme Court just struck down Biden's national OSHA mandate, but more mandates are inevitably coming on the state level.

Are you kidding me?

A solid majority of all Democrats would like to lock the unvaccinated in their own homes except for "emergencies".

And since Dr. Fauci just admitted that COVID will be with us forever, such a measure would theoretically be implemented on an indefinite basis.

That is extremely chilling.

"Nearly half (48%) of Democratic voters think federal and state governments should be able to fine or imprison individuals who publicly question the efficacy of the existing COVID-19 vaccines on social media, television, radio, or in online or digital publications"

This is another sign that free speech is almost completely dead in our country.

If we can't even ask questions, what kind of society are we going to have?

The U.S. Constitution is supposed to forbid such government restrictions on speech, but apparently nearly half of all Democrats don't believe in the Bill of Rights anymore.

"Forty-five percent (45%) of Democrats would favor governments requiring citizens to temporarily live in designated facilities or locations if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine"

Yes, you read that correctly.

They really do want to put the unvaccinated in camps.

I am having difficulty finding the words to describe how evil this is.

Sadly, this isn't just a fringe group of Democrats we are talking about.

Nearly half of the entire party would support doing such a thing, and that says a lot about where we are as a society today.

"Twenty-nine percent (29%) of Democratic voters would support temporarily removing parents' custody of their children if parents refuse to take the COVID-19 vaccine"

Wow.

Nearly a third of all Democrats would actually support this? How easy we fall into the trap!

This is yet another sign that people need to be moving out of blue states while they still can.

Of course, it isn't just Democrats that are pushing for tyrannical measures.

Utah is supposed to be "deeply red", but the editorial board of the largest newspaper in the entire state is openly calling for the unvaccinated to be strictly confined to their own homes...

The editorial board of Utah's largest newspaper - the Salt Lake Tribune - which is controlled by the family of former Governor Jon Huntsman Jr., has called for the deployment of the National Guard "to ensure that people without proof of vaccination would not be allowed, well, anywhere."

The draconian measure was suggested in a Saturday op-ed titled "Utah leaders have surrendered to COVID pandemic," suggesting that elected officials have failed to mandate the vaccine for all citizens and that if Utah was a "civilized place" Governor Spencer Cox (R) would treat the unvaccinated (and no mention of the naturally immune) as lepers with severe lockdown mandates.

Jon Huntsman is a Republican that ran for president.

And his newspaper is pushing for this type of authoritarian measure?

What in the world is happening to us? I can tell you, we have not been taught science in our government-run schools. We know little of biology, we do not understand that a virus can almost never be controlled, we do not understand that the more we hide from it the longer it will be around, and the longer it is around it has time to mutate!

Our freedoms and liberties are under unprecedented assault, and once they are gone it will be exceedingly difficult to ever get them back.


For years, I have been warning about the "Big Brother" police state control grid that is being constructed all around us, and of course, that process has only accelerated during this pandemic.

At this point, new authoritarian measures are being implemented on an almost constant basis. For example, I just learned that the Biden administration has just set up a system for federal workers to track all "unvaccinated employees who ask for religious exemptions"...

According to a report by the Daily Signal, the Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia, an independent federal agency designed to aid Washington D.C. courts, created the "Employee Religious Exception Request Information System" to track unvaccinated employees who ask for religious exemptions from President Joe Biden's federal COVID-19 shot mandate.

The Federal Register describes the new system as the best way to keep track of "personal religious information" that is collected "in the context of a public health emergency or similar health and safety incident, such as a pandemic, epidemic, natural disaster, or national or regional emergency and/or any other lawful collection of employee information or data that is necessary to ensure a safe and healthy environment for individuals." Those with concerns about the system only have until Feb. 10 to offer any public comments.

It is very wrong for the Biden administration to do such a thing, but they are going to do it anyway.

In other articles, I have documented countless other ways that they are violating our fundamental rights.

Fortunately, the courts are slowing them down, but they aren't going to give up.

The good news is that at least we haven't descended into the sort of dystopian tyranny that we are now seeing in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, China, and elsewhere.

But if the authoritarian wing of the Democratic Party has its way, we will eventually get there.

This is such a dangerous time in our history because we really are on the verge of losing all of the liberties and freedoms that previous generations of Americans worked so hard to win for us.

Once we had common sense but seems to be gone!
