You're correct, they do run in the red, which may have to do with track maintenance, maybe we should take a look how other countries are doing it successfully. The Maglev maybe more in startup but maintenance for tracks may be cheaper in the long run.

It's a loser. Amtrac loses millions every year on food, and beverage service alone.

True, unfortunately, we are all in the same boat, we're not going to go anywhere if someone doesn't untie the boat.

their called scientists & atmosphere is trapped in ice samples covering 800,000 years of climate from the past.. some samples well over one million... they understand more than you think... unless you have lots of money like big tobacco did in the 60's refuting medical science on smoking... funny how Koch industry's hired the same pseudoscience company as big Tabaco for the same reasons... fake science ...

Good point, just as the Tobacco company always denied the damages they did.

The question I’ve asked you a number of times. Give me your workable solution to stopping man made climate change? The Paris Accords were a money grab. We were to give billions to the UN to then redistribute said money to countries deemed hurt by industrialized nations pollution. Even the head of the UN said the Accords would have little to no impact in the client. Easily researchable. No thanks on the experts. You flakes think Al Gores an expert.

There isn't one answer to that, there are many working solutions to many different issues, and it is a very in-depth question, but in it's most basic terms to cut down on our use of fossil fuels. Your insulting and incapable of a civil conversation and frankly not worth my time or energy. Hasta lluego baby

Do you actually go to church, or are you just like President Obama used to be, and quote the Bible only for making a political point? Wouldn’t it be better to help lift them up in their own part of the world by making this country the best it can be, so we can help stabilize the part of the world where these oppressed people’s are from? Why bring them here, where they have no skills to contribute to our society, just to put them on welfare and live in poverty and take the chance on terrorism, or being a financial burden on our society? It’s time we take care of our own people first (homeless, opioid addicts etc.). Besides that we are twenty trillion dollars in debt, how do you propose to pay for all of your peace, love and mercy?
Do you actually go to church, or are you just like... (show quote)

First, who has declared them skilless, second, the only people who can get any kind of federal assistance are students, a non-citizen I don't believe is entitled to welfare, you have to be a citizen. But you can correct me with some kind of validation.

You are guilty of self deception and wishful thinking the US does not even place in the top 12 countries that help impoverished nations. The top Country is Denmark then Sweden, Norway, Finland The Netherlands, and France People want to believe that America is the tops In every thing but the only thing we are tops at is military power

True, which is one reason why people from Norway really have no desire to move here. It came down to capitalists loyalty, it's not country first, it is profit first, they're basically Capitalistic Nomads.

Yeah, we have token train Am Track...big deal, I don't care if they're owned privately or not, but doesn't make you wonder why hasn't anyone invested in trains? I once took an overnight train trip as a kid, sleeping quarters, dining room, entertainment it was Grrreat Fun. I would love to experience that again visiting places all over the country.

Morgan, that is exactly the argument. What kind of pleasure do you and your ilk get from pointing fingers about climate change or anything else,
and then exempt yourself from combating the problem?

What pleasure? We're trying to have the "right" acknowledge what changes need to be done, and these changes will not inconvenience you and even if there was a small inconvenience isn't it worth it order to ensure the earth's sustainability for humans to inhabit it long into the future.

What is your solution and what do you do personally to combat the problem you believe is man made? I'm gonna use Gore as the perfect example. Why should I change my lifestyle one iota because the guy screaming to the heavens about man made climate change and how it is created contributes more to the problem identified by him in one year than I will in a lifetime. In conclusion why would I listen to people like you who believe Al Gore and his rhetoric when he is a proven, and total hypocrite?

There is a lot going on with bio fuel technology right now. What about trains? They are playing a big part in shortening trucking miles. Is it because they burn diesel?

Yes, it's about time don't you think? Other countries not so entrenched with oil moguls, are way ahead of us in trains. I would love to see Maglev railways come here, especially going east to west.

The basic reason that you and your liberal associates cannot answer simple weather questions is because of simple arrogance. Man has been monitoring earth’s weather for just over 100 years, so how can man with limited knowledge of a very complex subject make concrete predictions on a subject they do not understand?

Obviously they, the scientists and researchers do understand it, where did you get the idea they don't understand what they are experts in?For example, there are some very informative science programs that explains their analytical process if diagnosing ice cores by these experts. Fascinating, really.

The basic reason you and other wingnut fanatics misunderstand so many things is the willful gross ignorance that results from inability to learn. For example you think meteorology (the formal study and observation of weather) is just over 100 years old! What a hoot from a cretan!

Aristotle wrote "Meteorology" in 350 BC. That started the modern concept of a formal study, but of course the informal study preceeded that by probably thousands of years.

Is that the reason? I was wondering...and I believe you are correct. No one can force anyone to believe a fact or truth, they have to accept it. Do you think Newton had a had time explaining gravity?
