It's an anomaly! It's a parallel! And it's on Glen Beck RIGHT NOW! So for sure it's for real and all right wing extremists will be raptured as soon as they sell off their stocks. Just a small wait time in the bunkers, folks.

Did you feel bad when you had to ride this bus and all the other kids got to ride the big bus?

The Nation debt will in the end will ruin our money. Remember Germany? They had to pay you 3 times a week because of the amount of paper bills it took. I have to wonder, could we run out of zeros on the debt number? lol

I remember in a business course that we studied Weimer and what sticks out in my mind was an interview with a man who said that they were actually not pricing your meal or a bottle of wine till you had finished because it coul;d actually double during the time it took to eat and drink it.
Last month the same thing happened with airline tickets in Venezuela. They stopped selling tickets because they were going up so fast.
They is what a currency war looks like.

Unfortunately the riots are turning extremely violent.

I was in Changanola Panama during the banana workers strike and was stuck there due to the indigenous having dropped trees across all the roads in and out of the town. It wasn't my proudest moment when I noticed that all the canisters in the street had "made in the USA" written on them. I finally bought a bike and rode back to southern Costa Rica till I could go back to Bocas del Toro.

Despite Utilities soaring 4.1%, the Federal Reserve "blames" the worst miss (and biggest drop) in Industrial Production since August 2012 on "severe weather" in some regions of the country. Capacity Utilization also tumbled - to its lowest since October. Numbers for November and December's exuberance were revised lower in both series (that must be the weather effect being anticipated that weather would be bad in January!?!). There were 6 mentions of the word 'weather' in the report (just missing out of Deutsche's Lavorgna with 8 yeaterday) as any weakness in macro data is due to unforeseeable events (weather in Winter) but any surprising beat is due to solid fundamentals underlying the real economy.

Of course the plunge in Industrial Production would have nothing to do with the near-record levels of inventories in channel-stuffed over-laden mal-invested auto makers?...

From The Fed,

Industrial production decreased 0.3 percent in January after having risen 0.3 percent in December. In January, manufacturing output fell 0.8 percent, partly because of the severe weather that curtailed production in some regions of the country

...

The severe weather in January contributed to a decrease of 0.8 percent for manufacturing production. Output had risen in each of the previous five months, though the rates of increase for October through December are now reported to be slower than previously stated: Steel, semiconductors, motor vehicles, and organic chemicals made the largest contributions to the downward revision for the fourth quarter. The level of factory output in January was 1.3 percent above its year-earlier level.

Capacity utilization for manufacturing moved down 0.7 percentage point in January to 76.0 percent, a rate 2.7 percentage points below its long-run average.

We all have different ideas of what is disgusting. Republicans find "dirty" words disgusting. Democrats find that the idea of folks having to sleep in parks and dumpster dive for food disgusting. My Dad taught me that shit is not a bad word. He told me the real dirty words were connected to people who get a hard-on at the idea of killing a human being.

There are reasons that liberals prefer George Carlin to Ted Nugent.

Your adolescent "shock and awe" attempts to communicate on an adult level are actually pathetic to watch. Run along now and watch your Justin Bieber videos and pop your pimples while the adults have a conversation sweetie.

Just to be on the save side we bought a safe years back and decided metals were safer than any other form of worth. While it's true we make no money on what we have we're not dependent on the money men whom have turned the dollar almost worthless.

Extremely smart move.
I just finished "Gold Wars" by Kelly Mitchell. If I had any doubts before I don't now. It is an amazing book.

It is the Liberals way of saying everything is fine and nothing to worry about, which is total BS. The larger the debt, the less value the dollar has. If all the debt were to be owed to US Citizens instead of foreign countries, then the temptation would be huge for the Feds to default. After all, what would be the fallout since Americans could do nothing about it. Where, if they were to default on foreign investments then we would lose the reserve status for our money and they wouldn't be able to print more.

The US is losing the currency war for global reserve position.
http://www.theguardian.com/business/2014/jan/10/china-surpasses-us-world-largest-trading-nation
With the betrayal of our reps to allow profitable outsourcing of our manufacturing jobs and H-1B visa's to give foreigners our white collar jobs there is no policy that will allow an economic recovery.
The solution lies in the elimination of the Federal Reserve. Restore the power to congress to handle our currency as the constitution directed. Boot them out of this country and tell them the debt was always unconstitutional and we are being kind enough to allow them to leave instead of jailed or worse. Print the money to pay our foreign debt (since we are printing anyway) Institute a flat tax, Without the fed manipulating the currency for their own benefit (the banks) inflation would not have the devastating fluctuations Separate the banks from the investment banks and insurance companies (AIG) and limit their derivatives trading (gambling) with depositors money.
North Dakota has a state owned people bank and is one of the biggest reason that the are the top economically stable state in the Union.
That is just my opinion but I think if any politician ran on that platform we would have the biggest land slide in history. We could afford to continue to help our own people, bring our troops home, mind our own business and create jobs again.

The above link is basically an advertisement to buy gold and silver from a company, but what he says is true. The MyRa is a scam that the Federal Government is running or plans to run to force all retirement accounts to be invested in the Federal Government thereby funding the National Debt with retirement funds.
I for one will never invest into the Federal Government as they have no clue howto handle money as evidence by the 17 Trillion dollar debt. I would never invest in a company that was highly leveraged, and the Feds don't even have assets, just debt. Anyone would be foolish to invest in such a poorly run organization. You actually may be better off just taking the money and burying it in the back yard.

Burying money is a bad idea. Real inflation was over 9% last year when calc'ed by the 1980 process.
