Lynn most events occur in 3's within memory range like airplane crashes, deaths usually things that you hear about or come to know by way of word of mouth, news media or whatever....things lapse, all is calm and voila another set of 3 plane crashes are in the cards. Its folklore but often uncannily occurs. The blood moons referred to is part of prophecy and not folklore and the October,2015 is the portent of a possible biblical occurrence.

The NYTimes reported to have said one pilot was locked out of the cabin and the other pilot remained in the cockpit with no explanation as of yet. Now we have 2 more to fulfill the folklore.

Starbucks is Dipsy trying to mix profits with socialism whose inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery while they charge BIG $$$$$$ for a cup of coffee. People used to watch their pennies and now overpay for coffee flavored hot water with condiments without blinking an eye. I never have more than water with lemon whenever I eat in a Diner and have never had a cup of Starbucks coffee...I can't afford to throw my money away.

I don't think paying a fair wage promotes laziness....how do you arrive at that ?

Because "fair wage based on breathing" is not the way the free enterprise system works. Replacing a robot means you should be at the bottom of the barrel (that's why school kids worked diners and fast food establishments). All that a "fair wage" does is pay more than they are worth, cause prices to rise unnecessarily while these barrel bottoms supplement their current income with $40,000 per annum Entitlement, IRS and welfare benefits to add to their "fair wage"and breed without aforethought.

Actually, you used to be able to work one full time job and pay rent and put food on the table....not anymore because wages haven't gone up while expenses have....ergo...a living wage would be nice

The flame just got hotter and so more effort is required. Instead you promote sloth and governmental mendicancy which is what happens when you try to do good and create a class of hammock swingers. individual effort instead of mendicancy is not a new concept and has a better track record than much of what we are doing today.

I never said that minimum wage should be raised to $15 country wide...that's just what I choose to do....I do feel that minimum wage should be raised...the number is debatable ...if someone works full time, and gets paid the present minimum wage, they are still eligible for govt assistance, because it's not enough money to put a roof over your head and put food on the table...so we are paying regardless, with our taxes.......but , you raise a fair point about warehouse work....picking up boxes, packing boxes and so on is more physical work. So that person needs to be in somewhat decent shape

Why Government assistance? People used to work at two jobs to make ends meet and kids used to work after school(and did their homework too) to earn their own spending money and this became the flame under their butt that got this country moving!!!!!!! Brother can you spare a dime?

No mention is ever made about people obtaining more education or training to gain productive employments (pushing picture like buttons is not productive since robotics can and should be used for these menial chores which can be "supervised" by far fewer numbers of employees. But so long as some well meaning people think that prompting young people's self esteem and improved standard of living is the way to go. Some people even make excuses for them buy the use of such words as "troubled youths" or at "risk poor". By the time experience in the world of hard knocks gives them some real knowledge it may be too late.

Does that mean this will encourage people to not seek further advancement thru education or training and merely push a picture of a meal for $15.00 an hour? What is to stop these people from obtaining government entitlements over and above the $15.00 an hour thru a variety of fraudulent documentation and false statements thus winding up with more earnings than they merit?

My wife and I have cut eating out at restaurants by 50% and leaving 10% TIPS. We have never eaten at fast food restaurants save for once at an Italian Olive garden and it left much to be desired in terms of quality and quantity. We consider only Italian owned pizza establishments and judge by the dough consistency and taste without the cheese and sauce. which we always order with fresh made cheese, quality sauce and ricotta or with fresh tomatoes.

CNBC, Cato Institute you got to be kidding..The only pollster that is honest is RASMUSSEN and I get a daily report...try them. From what I see you people are a bit provincial and don't see the big picture....Your what in NY they say are"in the woods"

There are no magic solutions to our problems, at least none that I know of. Common sense, common decency and work and honesty are all I can come up with. They are not fancy or new or politically correct but they have a better track record than much of what we are doing today.
