Why can't you see that a stunt man accomplishing a feat is any less worthy of applause than the star. Just like a con, you must degrade anything you can. Why couldn't you accept my comment as it was offered instead of bringing politics into it.
We both know that the skates were adhered in the same manner we did as children. They destroyed quite a few of my shoe soles.
It was sort of a badge of honor to carry one's own key even though it was interchangeable with your pals'.

Yours is the type of memory I was inquiring about. I do recall men, simply walking on the street and whistling. It was also used in films to ward off nervousness or indicate a carefree atmosphere. Does anyone remember these incidences? I believe it was also used in cartoons for the same purposes. Maybe this was more prevalent in the cities. In addition, Dad sometimes used a matchbook cover placed perpendicularly in front of his lips in order to get a separate sound.

I recall Mom asking Dad to whistle for her. As I recall, there were many styles. Does anyone recall the era of whistling? When and what made it popular and when and why did the custom die out? Just thought I might rekindle some old memories for other old farts.

Oh get off it PL. I was under the impression that "feed on demand" was the accepted version of nurturing babies. After all, the mother's breast being used for feeding IS the most natural method. Perhaps if women's beasts were not always expected to be "covered up," the fixation on breasts might just resolve and would then be accepted as their original purpose. Don't you recall when ankles needed to be covered? Just recall

Recall how some prudish people were upset when Michelle Obama wore sleeveless dresses. Women must refrain from exposing certain portions of their bodies "because it might upset males," but when do the males take the responsibility and control over their minds.

The difference is that Republicans state that they believe in life in the womb but do nothing to help the fetus after birth. Better not to be born than to live a life of poverty and bias under conditions where the family cannot support this extra expense. Only the mother should be able to make judgment on this. It is the post birth conditions that the mother takes into consideration and Righties do not. It is they who are pulling back on moneys spent on education and social network agencies. Their philosophy is "Save the fetus but to hell with the person."

Has anyone thought of holding the parents responsible for insufficient storage of their guns. I wonder if they leave poisons around for tots to lay their hands upon. In my youth parents were held responsible for the actions of their children.
