I'm all for preserving our wildlife, and I'm sure this is still a work in process to work out all the kinks, but I think this is a definite step forward.

I'm also not distracted by any "bling" on the topic. Can anyone on the right have a discussion without the personal slur? You could have simply brought up your point.

The people who come here today aren't the ones who founded the country or worked to win wars and build the greatest country ever. The new freeloaders keep their own culture, dress habits, and language. They are here to live free all right, and they do. They won't learn English and they want me to accept their shithole ways. (I wear my ties long now too.) These people are here to topple America, not build it. They hate us, and you kiss their schumers.
I'm an American. Been one all my life. I'm from the Garden of Eden to answer your origin question. I have an obligation to those whom I choose, not to those I am scolded to oblige.
Trump is cleansing America of the horrible culture creep brought about by welfare ghettos and muslim enclaves and Hispanic freeloaders.
Why is it that some immigrants actually thrive here? Learn the language and contribute? Asians, Indians, and Russians seem to excel here.
Everyone else can move to where they can live off the government. Cuba and Venezuela are perfect leftycountries. Go.
Let us horrible Americans trump it up here. We're happy.

Quite the typical response, if you don't like it go away, very adolescent, maybe you should try working some things out like grown-ups do.

As far as Venezuela and Cuba, they have nothing to do with being left and all to do with dictatorships, you know... as the right has been covertly been pushing here under the Trumpster.

I happen to agree with you on everyone learning and speaking one language, it's the only way to keep communications open with all the different nationalities.

You're from the Garden of Eden, why are you afraid to say where your family is from, like I said we're all immigrants unless you're Native American. Some of the immigrants that are now here are extremely grateful to be part of America and new Americans, many of them Muslims. Maybe you could focus on them, and not the minority who tries to abuse the system which of course there always is. Possibly then you would be happy, as it is now you don't appear to me to be very happy, just saying...

Trump isn't cleansing America, he is corrupting America.

You are contrary, in one sentence you want compassion and in the next, you wish to see women imprisoned for giving birth, really...is that your only resolve? And now you feel frustrated with the topic. One thing you haven't considered is that anyone in prison is a ward of the state and a high cost to us, not only financially but taking out a productive person whether the job be slight or not.

I agree with you on the issue, just not it's remedy. The other so-called conflating issues are very much relatable and poignant.

Very cool

Apple says it now has 25 operational renewable energy projects–with 15 more now in construction–in 11 countries. Just eight years ago, only 16% of its facilities were powered by renewable energy. By 2015 that number had increased to 93%, then to 96% in 2016.

In 2012, it hired the Bay Area-based solar contractor SunPower, which built the 20-megawatt farm right across the street from the data center. (To give you a sense of scale, 20 megawatts would be enough to power about 3,300 homes.) Apple ended up building three solar projects in North Carolina–two 20-megawatt solar farms and an 18-megawatt one–as well as a bio-gas fuel-cell farm capable of generating 10 megawatts of green power.

WOW...

Apple says that by using clean energy from renewable energy projects its suppliers avoided releasing more than 1.5 million metric tons of CO2e into the air in 2017. That’s the equivalent of taking more than 300,000 cars off the road, the company states.

In 2015, Apple started a program to move suppliers toward green energy. Last year, 14 such companies pledged to work toward running the parts of their operations that serve Apple on 100% renewable energy. Today, Apple announced that another nine of its suppliers have promised to reach this goal.

Way to go Apple, now lets hope they bring back their manufacturing.

Ah "a shithole country", you are a true Trumpet follower.

Our constitution is simply... our laws, it doesn't capsulate our ideology, though the saying on the Statue of Liberty does express a good deal part of it.

We were given that gift out of admiration and respect, now you want to lower America's stature with those judgments of yours?

My Bill of Rights? Puzzling reply? What a crock, I'm sick to death of that whine, "you're taking mine" waa, waa, waa. No~ the difference in left and right, is the left will give you the shirt off their back, and the right CLINGS to theirs while crying mine... mine... mine.

One more thing it's not the shirt off your back it's more like a damn button and if everyone did give a button to help someone trying to get ahead, then we'd all be doing better and the person who was helped will pass it forward. We are only as strong as our weakest link.

All your energy is focused on the exceptions, instead of where the money is really being stolen from, look at white collar welfare.
Where is your heritage from? You avoided that answer.

I have news for you, the people who are enslaving America are not the poor immigrants seeking refuge, as possibly your family members did also. Many do come here and scape and scratch their way up also, but in your bias, you seem to think they don't exist.

-since Dems have accepted two elections where their candidate won the popular vote but lost the Presidency why raise the issue of whether Dems would not accept the result?
-the question I raised was exactly the same....would the right wing (especially the President) accept a defeat? His 2016 election rhetoric does not bode well on that score.

I can tell you if that had been the case we would've never heard the end of it. Let's face it he was already yelling cheat before he even won.

That woman working two jobs needs assistance, such that she can be at home with her children at the end of the workday. There are many valid reasons to be a single mother but if the reason is that they simply refuse to practice birth control, or refrain from sexual contacts, and never get a husband then their life circumstance is their choice. Don't expect me to labor to feed those offspring. It is these women that I say need their children removed from their poor care and only these people should be threatened with jail because this behavior is anti-social as well as theft.

There is no catch 22 here. If she expects the rest of us to ante up to support her she needs to do her part in becoming self-supporting. Generating countless babies is not an industry. Any arguments about her body being hers and she has the right to do whatever are perfectly valid, as long as she does not burden me with paying for her whatever.

I happen to agree with you with respect to common sense judgment and the pratice of birth control, frankly, I don't know what they're thinking about. With that said where does imprisoning someone really benefit them or society? Now the woman who was working ...isn't... and you've put children on the road to the horrors of the system, where many girls are raped and turn into hor's/prostitutes and junkies.

If you are willing to imprison them for becoming pregnant, what say you of the seed contributor? It does take two. Maybe after men have contributed to unsupported children, should have a vasectomy and go to jail also?

As far as generating babies for an industry, one would have to be making a profit and getting ahead in some way. Anyone who thinks taking care of a batch of children while working... well no offense but someone who thinks this is some kind of lazy day vacation needs to have their head examined for a reality check.

That is the position of someone totally lacking in compassion. Unless you are personally volunteering to find one of the truly deserving of help and assist them out of your pocket then your position is heartless and indefensible. That does not mean that anyone who decides he can make do with less should be permitted to sit on his duff while others work to keep him alive. The problem is not in extending a helping hand but in ensuring this does not become a vocation.

It also doesn't mean that the public has an obligation to maintain welfare recipients in the same manner as those who work and buy whatever they can afford. If it embarrasses the welfare recipient that their children don't have party dresses, there is an easy cure, get a job. If their household appliances are not the latest and greatest, too bad. Those who have those things got them the old fashioned way, they earned them.

If while on welfare they continue to breed like rabbits, without benefit of a husband or identifiable father then some limit should be imposed, such as remove the children from this environment since the parent is irresponsible. That parent should be advised that the next child presented for welfare will garner a jail sentence for her.
That is the position of someone totally lacking in... (show quote)

I agree that is lacking a great deal of compassion, thank you for that and I also agree with most of your post but I'd like to mention what many people don't seem to assume, is that some of these recipients, yes, many are women with children, are working two jobs, they are home very little and are raising catch lee kids, (which also isn't a great circumstance), and are not at home sitting on their duff. But threatening jail time is quite the extreme, is a woman now also criminal is she keeps the child? She's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. It appears to still be a man's world.
