I grew up non denominational. My parents had fathers who were preachers in foursquare and assembly of god churches. I can honestly say its helped me understand the most important factor in this Christian walk and that is, my personal relationship with him had no bearing on which house of god I chose to worship in. The name means nothing. The point of knowing if they're spiritually in tune is, does it line up with scripture. If it doesn't then dust off your feet and head on down the road. God has a body for all of us to practice our gifts and talents, but mainly worship and praise God. Church is a hospital for those in need. That's why serving in a good church hones our skills to witness and pray with men and women who are seeking the Lord. Be prepared to step out and be Jesus to someone looking for a life changing experience. Pray for God to put you where you need to be.

PRAYER CHALLENGE

Last Sunday, our Pastor, told us about a survey done with Pastors. He did say they were leading Pastors, but he didn't say how many, and since I go to a non-denominational church - I am not aware of their affiliation. They were asked how much time a day they were able to spend in prayer. I'll tell you, but first the challenge - for the next two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) I challenge each of us to beat the Pastors' time. You can do it all in one sitting, or break it up over the day - AND THEN you are to tell no one because this is between you and God. The average time these Pastors spent in prayer was - you ready? You are saying get on with it or I'll wring it out of you - that wouldn't be nice. Ok, Ok - they spent 3-5 minutes a day. In my opinion, that really isn't much of a challenge, but try it and see, and tell the Lord only.

Lord Above~~We have important elections coming..Great Change is needed and can only happen through your will....

Father, stand for your names sake in the attacks levied against You..Stand for the correction of our Nation now controlled by Satan himself....

Give us strength and knowledge in voting those whom will be best for this great Country and keep it what You want us to be...

"I wanted to give all of you some disturbing information on our wonderful president. I work with the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, which provides hunting and fishing trips to children with life-threatening illnesses. This past weekend we had our annual banquet/fundraiser event in Starkville.

As a part of our program, we had scheduled Sgt. 1st Class Greg Stube to come; he's a highly decorated U.S. Army Green Beret and inspirational speaker who was severely injured while deployed overseas and didn't have much of a chance for survival. Greg is stationed at Ft. Bragg , NC and received permission from his commanding officer to come speak at our function.

Everything was on go until Obama made a policy that NO U.S. SERVICEMAN CAN SPEAK AT ANY FAITH-BASED PUBLIC EVENTS ANYMORE. Needless to say, Greg had to cancel his speaking event with us. I don't know if anyone else was aware of this new policy.

You're just starting to see the Obamanation. This is just how the Nazis did it in the 1930's -- slowly, one step at a time.

Prayer for
PSALM 93

Like a loving parent You watch and listen while Your children play and bicker. Sometimes we make You laugh, other times we made You sad, or You say , "Be careful, don't go there." Unfortunately, we often move on in the wrong direction, and when we get hurt, we turn back to You to console us. Why is it we are unable to listen. We learn hard lessons sometimes. When we think we can do it 'all by ourself' You watch, and You let us work our own way out of the hole we dug. Once we finally get out, You lift us up, clean us off, no worse for wear, but wiser than we would have been. Our actions are so sad, but so true. Lord, we need You, we need You.

You reign high above us in majesty, You are Holy. Do we get it? Do we understand? Your glory shines all around You, and we just accept that You are here and that You care for these little ragamuffins' running around. If we were capable of half the love for You, that You feel for us, we might hear, "not bad." We sure know where You are when we need You, and we are so happy You are always readily available when we call. Forgive us, Lord. We work hard to cover the pressures of the day, when will we learn to let go of them and apply that effort towards trying to please You? Thank You, Lord for being there, thank You.

Keep our troops safe and healthy, wherever they maybe. Be with their families. Stand with our churches as they fight the onslaught against them. Have us stand true with our churches. An election is coming and already we hear about fraud. Lord, keep people on their toes, have them check their votes to be sure they register as they have voted. It would be fitting Lord, if You keep the illegals away from the polls. Show the wicked that You are in control and can check their cheat card. That's a glimpse of our worldly concerns, we put them at your feet to care for. Thank You, Lord. We always come to offer You praise, honor, and glory, knowing how worthy You are. Forgive our wayward ways and keep us close to You, always. Praise the Lord. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

PSALM 92

Praise the Lord, all ye children of the most High. He is our rock of salvation, our shelter in the storm, He is our Lord, and we rightly owe Him all praise and adoration. Keep His image ever before you. Take time to shut the world out, so that you may be with Him in deep meditation, than He will speak to you. He brings a light heart to you, like a spring day, you feel like a child again. He blesses you with good health, and work to keep your hands busy, He sees to it you are never alone - just call His name. Oh what a Lord and Savior we have, His magnificence shines so brightly, we must cover our eyes. Praise the Lord from whom all blessing flow.

He is watchful of the wicked, He knows their next move, and at some point He will cut them off by their own means. How appropriate. We are expected to pray that they see the light, and if possible work to bring them to the Lord. What joy will be felt in heaven if we can save one sinner, the angels sing. Your reward will be great, never avoid the opportunity. The ease and comfort that comes with His presence brings an uplifting experience that cannot be compared to earthly activities, it is beyond description. Oh praise the Lord all creatures here below; Yes, praise Him ye heavenly host, Praise our Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

We are ever mindful of all of our troops, wherever they may be, keep them safe, and healthy, we pray, and be with their families. Also, protect our churches that they are not intimidated and in fear of preaching Your Word. Our world has reached a point that, if we don't get down on our knees, and offer sincere prayer for your return, we will suffer. A few lines of prayer to You, are so inadequate Lord. You appreciate our time and thoughts, but like Jesus, we need hours with You to have Your ear, and for You to have our hearts and mind. Help us make the time. Be with us Lord, forgive us our sins, and keep us - how we need You. We praise You, and bless You. We bring our prayer in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
