I would like to clarify a little what I said about works. In the new testament works is used in many verses but not all works mentioned are good. Many of them are good works and God gives his BLESSINGS for them. He even gives his blessings on good works performed by those who do not believe God or have any faith in him. Look at the verses that have the words believe or faith and you will note that most all of them are used in relationship to being saved. Another words, doing works without faith or belief is worthless when it comes to your salvation.
Works do not mean works as you believe works is believing. If you believe works comes with it and if you do not have faith then you cannot believe.

Roman catholics only worship and pray to Jesus for mercy and forgiveness they DO NOT worship or pray to Mary for either. They only ask for or call for her help and to intercede for them.
From what you sent me we are pretty much in agreement except for one thing and in this one were probably have to agree to disagree and that is Mary is the mother of God/Jesus and the closes thing to a spouse would be the Holy Spirit which is also God.
