I had a brindle Staff/Ridge Back mix for hunting pigs in Carmel, one day I was leaving the house and gave him the command "load up" he bolted for the truck right as the mailman rounded the corner of the house. He was at full tilt boogie, the mailman thought he was after him(after all that guy always came to the door and dropped stinky stuff off), he stuck his mail bag out and the dog ran right through it and was in the truck before the mail hit the ground. I offered to help him pick up the mail, but he was so shaken and pissed his pants that he just told me that's it, I have had it. I had to get a PO. box and get my mail from the post office from then on. I don't remember how many times I had to take him to the vet from other dogs biting him, some how he knew not to fight other dogs, his best friend was my manx cat that he would chew his fleas, damn I miss that dog.
