Press Misleads Nation on Illegal Immigration

According to a new report from the Justice Department, illegal immigrants are being prosecuted at a much lower rate over the last five years. Recently released statistics show that criminal prosecution has fallen 36 percent from 2011 to 2015, partly because local and state authorities are shying away from detaining illegal immigrants on behalf of the feds.

In the meantime, The Washington Post analyzed a report this week from the Center for Migration Studies, which says that the number of illegal immigrants in the United States has fallen by more than a million individuals since 2008. In part, the CMS study says, because Mexican illegals have decreased in number by about 600,000 since President Obama took office. The report, coming as it does in the middle of an election cycle, is meant to portray this administration (and, by proxy, Democratic contender Hillary Clinton) as being tough on illegal immigration.

Of course, the Washington Post’s story neglected to mention that Obama presided over mass legalization of these immigrants. Nearly a million illegals who came here as children were given amnesty as a result of the president’s 2012 executive order. That number alone is almost enough to completely nullify any decline in the total illegal immigrant population. That, of course, is if we have any reason to believe that the federal government has a good grasp on that population to begin with.

Of course, there’s more than an election coming up. The Supreme Court has announced that they will take up a case challenging the president’s 2014 executive orders. Arguments will begin in April regarding a lawsuit being filed by 26 states against the administration. The court is expected to hand down its final ruling in June, and Obama is undoubtedly eager to get the tide of public opinion on his side before that happens. In a perfect world, of course, public opinion would count for nothing in a case like this, but this court has already shown its propensity for following social trends.

Even if the court rules for Obama, he’s going to have a tough time carrying out the orders. How many illegal immigrants are going to put themselves into the spotlight this close to the end of his presidency? This is an executive order, mind you. If a Republican like Donald Trump comes into office next January, those orders will be torn up and thrown away. It will be deportation city, and illegals aren’t going to take the chance. This is another reason, of course, why it’s so important to make sure that a Democrat like Clinton does not follow Obama into office. We need to make a clean break from his disastrous policies, no matter how beautiful they look in the eyes of the mainstream press.

12/01/2015 Obama Calls Climate Change, Not Terrorism, Our Greatest

A new SuperCut video contrasts doomsday rhetoric from the Obama administration about climate change with news clips of terrorist attacks, plane bombings and beheadings by the Islamic State.

President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Secretary of State John Kerry offer the following words in the video about climate change.

“Today, there is no greater threat to our planet than climate change.”

“No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change.”

“It is indeed one of the biggest threats facing our planet today.”

“Climate change is the threat multiplier.”

“If another country threatened to wipe out an American town, we’d do everything in our power to protect ourselves. Climate change poses the same threat right now.”

“And years from now, I want to be able to look our children and grandchildren in the eye and tell them we did everything we could to protect them.”

On Tuesday, Obama appeared to equate the threats of climate change and terrorism, saying they required similar responses. The Hill reports:

“In some ways, [climate change] is akin to the problem of terrorism and ISIL,” Obama said, using an alternate acronym for the terror group.

Both threats, Obama said, require a long, sustained effort by the United States to assess and neutralize them.

The administration has long maintained that the effects of climate change — like rising sea levels, extreme weather, drought and crop problems — could create more harm and unrest than terrorism, and require a similar response.

Republicans have overwhelmingly dismissed the idea and excoriated Obama for understating the threat of terrorism and not taking it seriously.

Obama’s comments came weeks after the ISIS killed 130 people in a series of coordinated gun and bomb attacks in Paris in one of the deadliest attacks perpetrated by the extremist group.

At a news conference on Monday, White House national security adviser Ben Rhodes refused to directly answer which issue, climate change or terrorism, is a bigger threat to the U.S.

“The leaders who have looked at the danger of climate change, they see even the instability we’re faced today significantly magnified by the effects of climate change over time given the disruptions that extreme weather will have on certain countries, given, again, the lives that will be put at stake and the economic disruptions that will take place with the continued effects of climate change,” he said.

You are a idiot! If someone had been armed in that Christmas party today, the outcome would have been different. The majority of these shootings are jihad terror. Obama’s answer is to disarm the infidel and continue to avoid the reality of jihad. And we are paying with blood.He calls for disarming Americans, yet the only hope we have of surviving such attacks is arming law-abiding citizens. Jihadis and criminals will always be able to get weapons. They don’t obey laws.
Not only that the Inland Regional Center, the sight of today’s mass shooting in California, is a GUN FREE ZONE. Previous targets of shootings were all gun-free zones, with the exception of Garland, Texas. They were armed, and the jihadists were shot and killed. The best of all outcomes!!!
