Or take the Koch brothers,, who claim to be working on behalf of the "grassroots tea party. They gave Romney a quarter of a billion dollars for what? And Romney himself trying to divide the country between those who take and those who give.

Or the political parties, hat give the appearance of a political divide for partisan purposes when there's really not a dime's worth of difference between the two.

I agree. However, first there has to be a united effort to put a halt to the Koch's and Romney's of this country. Otherwise their power base just keeps growing. The only way to get people on board is to offer them small steps at one time as not to overwhelm them and work up to the enormouse problems that inflict harm on this nation.

American Airlines was bankrupt, but could still find the funds to purchase another failing airline. In doing so, creating a monopoly on air travel. This from the worst airline in the U.S.! Does anybody see that AA is being supported by the govt.? You can bet on many of our politicians investing heavily on that airline. With AA's new friends, you can assume that they will not face bankruptcy again for a very long time, if ever. Our politicians are so corrupt and have done nothing in the last 20 years or so for the benefit of this country except become rich, and we keep voting them back into office. It won't be long that airfare prices will skyrocket as will fuel prices. I think it would be a good time to start looking for a strong horse and buggy if you plan on going on vacation or visiting relatives. Our politicians are self entitled, greedy, immoral, bastards that have become rich on the backs of the citizens of this country. And the sad thing about all this, the majority of the country will vote them right back into office. Watch how many jump on the wagon when Hillary Clinton runs. And then the crying will start all over again!

I've traveled to a few countries, 12 to be exact, and the one of the countries that still supports racism strongly is the U.S.. Every other country has had it's share of slavery in one form or another, but it seems that the U.S. keeps racism alive for political enslavement. If the whole can't get along, then we are a country divided. This means nobody can decide what is best for the country because they are concentrating on what can be accomplished for individual groups. We lose the power of the people when we can't agree, and the govt. knows this. America needs to see how they are being manipulated by the govt. and put the past behind them, and draw together. This country was built on immigrants that came to the new world to accomplish freedom. They weren't expecting a different form of slavery. If we don;t stop the Al Sharptons, and Jesse Jacksons that become rich at on the backs of the people, we will never be free. I mention these two because they are rich because of the hate that they spread. Jesse Jackson was part of Martin Luther Kings entourage. But instead of continuing the dream, he bastardized it for his ill gain. This is the biggest hurdle that we face. Getting blacks and whites to stop listening to these obvious lyres that keep races from joining the good fight.

And that is exactly where the problem lies. Lawyers and insurance companies. I'm sure you are aware that most, if not all, HMO's are run by lawyers, not doctors. Your health competes with their bottom line, money. If they can keep you breathing so you can pay for your plan, their happy.

That's on the money, I agree. I'ld never expected a president to stoop so low. His agenda is to destroy everything good in the United States, and because the people haven't taken action against his false protective stance, we are being railroaded into a communist type environment against our protests.

It does work, especially for advanced cancer treatment, at least for those with good insurance.

We've made great strides in cancer survival. Gamma knife surgery is one of those new techniques. Between Europe, England and the US, we've done tremendous things with cancer treatment. I hear there will be an new generation of chemo that doesn't attack healthy cells.

But in the prevention area, we fall down. And I hope your wife has no side effects. It sound like she's a fortunately surviver. I'll bet it wasn't easy. And I hope she stays cancer free. Sounds like she really had a close call.

My mother died 40 years ago from breast cancer that went to the brain. The treatment then was stone-age level compared to today.

Insurance companies tend to get tired of chronic illness. After x amount of years, it almost seems like you reach a line where they say "start denying this person." For me, it was seven years. They told me Oxycontin was the only treatment they'l pay for and told me that I'd be on the drug the rest of my life.

Had I continued, my life would already be over. As it is, it took me six years to get them to reverse their decision. I don't do well with arbitrary decision that are against my best interest, especially when I have a contract that says otherwise.

Again, hope your wife is well and stays well.

You know, one of the biggest problems that draw more people to Obamacare is the false pretense that these problems will be resolved. That is a LIE! I was injured and my insurance company kept instructing Doctors to do the minimum amount of care to save money. Yet, they paid them full price for their services. I found out because I had found a doctor that took his profession seriously and told me about a phone call he received. He told them that he was going to provide me with the care I needed to overcome the problem. Later, he told me that they refused to pay for services if he didn't follow their instructions, and he could only proceed if I could pay out of pocket. Unfortunately, the expense was too much for me and I still suffer from unfinished medical care. The sad thing is, what is left to be done is inexpensive and would greatly improve my health. So, now I am self rehabilitating myself, and living with the unfinished medical care. The Obamacare is the same thing. Run by lawyers with doctoral degrees. It's all about the money, not the patient. At least I will have a chance at a normal life. I just can't imagine what people with serious problems will face.

If you don't think people hate Obama because he is black, you really have your head in the sand. Not everyone who hates Obama. of course, but a great many. You can fulminate all you want but it doesn't change the facts. As far as "scum" goes, anyone who chooses to use insults the way you do - well, look in the mirror.

Most people I associate with don't hate Obama for his ethnic background, they hate him for falling short of his responsibilities to this country. Of course my associates are a mix of ethnic backgrounds and we all listen to each others opinions and take them seriously. The conversations start out different largely due to different experience, but end with pretty much the same solutions.

You know that the republicans had the same idea. But because the democrats put it into effect, they are trying their hardest to derail it. However, it is a red-heron due to the fact that they could have made it more affordable to the citizens than what they have. They should have used Germany as their template instead of Canada. It has worked for them with fewer complaints. But, unfortunately, most of our health care is owned and run by lawyers. We need a leader that has the interest of the country first and foremost. Not looking to increase their coffers before being voted out of office.

I'll drink to that!

Its the old argument " what came first the chicken or the egg.
Did American corporations drag people into the VW dealer in the 60s and force them to buy a Beetle?
Did the CEO of GM entice Americans into buying a Toyota?
We still make Beer in America and some are very good quality. Why are Americans buying imports like Dos Equis XX, Guinness, Heineken, Hoegaarden, imported beer, imported beers, Modelo Especial, Negra modelo, Newcastle Brown Ale, Stella Artois?

Let me guess. The CEO of RCA forced you to buy a Sony TV back in 1979?

If it wasn't for corporations moving their factories to china, japan, taiwan, ect.. The prices would still be low, those countries wouldn't be rich, and the citizens of the United States would still have plenty of jobs. And most likely our country wouldn't be plagued with the economic fall out that ensued. The corporations are filled with greedy pigs that could care less for the economic health of this country. They have been given tax breaks that are totally unrealistic and have crippled small businesses. Thanks to our fat-cat politicians. America needs to buy American only. Even if the price is high, at least the money circulated will stay in the financial loop and hopefully boost our economy. Just the other day, I saw a coffee mug that said, "U.S.A. company, made in china". WTF
