"if I'm wrong I will admit it and stand corrected, I believe that's fair, I do regard Marxist/democrats as enemies of the state and will not back off that."

Okay, that is your first error. You are dead wrong in that comment. The libs are no more "enemies of the state" than you are. They are just as entitled to their positions as you are to yours, without being called an 'enemy of the state.'

Believe it or not, this country was founded on the principle of "compromise." Every major governmental document has been crafted and drafted based on the compromise between the parties involved. The Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, ALL were developed passed through compromise. This is a historical fact.

This land isn't the sole possession of the Dems or Repubs, the left or the right, the conservs or the progressives. This land belongs to ALL of us. We need to share it. And, we need to NOT act like little children and throw a name-calling temper tantrum over everything that comes down the pike.

My friend, you need to take a 'chill-pill.' Why you're so 'over-the-top' with your feelings about liberals is beyond me. If you were to look, and not very hard, you might be surprised to learn that many of those on the right have their faults, too. And, as I've said, this place also has some "Fascist/Republican, ultra-conservatives" who are just as rabid in their concrete-minded beliefs as they accuse the other side to be. Some are so far 'right,' that you must look 'left' to see them coming.

So, before you decide to "go-off" on someone, please remember, that while you may feel that your position is the righteous one, the other guy has the same feelings. The more you insult and demean, the more entrenched you make your opposition and the less truthful and credible you make yourself out to be. Stick with the facts and abandon the rhetoric. You'll change far more minds that way.

Your will find the Marxist/democrat liberals on this site add very little intelligence to the site and its variety of topics. They would rather call everyone vile names all the time rather than have a sensible dialog.

Welcome. I am only on here occasionally because I get tired of their BS. I hope you can add some sanity to the site.
----------------

Like I said, Yankee, I look at both sides. I don't have a ring through my nose. I haven't had a lobotomy. My head isn't up my, or anyone else's, rectum; nor is it in the sand. And, I don't drink Kool-Aid. I can and do think for myself. I've have been following this site for some time, before deciding to join in. A slight re-wording of your comment seems appropriate to make things more realistic.

"Your will find the Marxist/democrat liberals (& the Fascist/republican, ultra-conservatives) on this site add very little intelligence to the site and its variety of topics. They would rather call everyone vile names all the time rather than have a sensible dialog."

Please, tone down the tenor if you wish to have a sensible dialog with me. As my daddy used to say, "Once someone begins to throw out insults, they've lost all credibility; plus, at that point, they have nothing more of any credence to add to the conversation. Insulting people who disagree with you is a very poor way to retreat."

Just saying Hi, to y'all. As a way of introduction, allow me to say the following:

I'm a Christian; always have been; always will be.

I spent time in the US Navy as a RIO. I'm retired from the federal government after 30+ years. My degrees (under-grad & grad) are in history, political science and sociology. I profess to be a "moderate," politically. I look at both sides of an argument before forming an opinion. I ALWAYS do my own research on a topic and don't rely on what others claim to be the "a priory" of a topic.

In my lifetime, I've taken the oath to uphold and protect my country and the Constitution twice and don't feel I've been released from those oaths just because I'm retired. I believe in the federal government and DON'T BELIEVE that the government is out to take away my rights; be they firearms or speech, or anything else.

From what I've read on this site, many are very quick to immediately jump into name-calling if someone opposes their point of view. I won't initiate any name-calling, but I will fire back, if fired upon.
