Doesn't it seem logical that if snopes.com is as unreliable as many here claim that some solid proof of this would exist (not just a viral email that purports it has been wrong many times)? Doesn't it defy logic to continue in the belief it is unreliable when after all these years of its existence, especially with so many invested in undermining its reputation, no one has proven it wrong on political facts? (I will get to where it has been off but those were not on political questions.)
The lack of trust in snopes.com may come from the fact that some of the most cherished lies about Obama are debunked as false, making it appear to be obviously an agent of the Left and actually financed by Soros who uses a proven radically liberal couple as puppets to support his commie agenda. There is a simple way to resolve whether snopes.com can be trusted or not and thus far no one here, when asked to do this, has either bothered or perhaps has been disappointed and failed to report those results. (Most often the response is Everybody knows it is liberal-biased. The phrase everybody knows is the standard introduction for almost every urban legend. I gave Crazy Horse a list from snopes.com titled 50 Lies by Obama a viral email sent a number of years ago, which they factchecked, and I haven't noticed any posts from him lately; probably coincidence.)
All one needs to do is find something snopes.com called false or true and prove they were wrong. Same goes for the other fact-checking sites, that it seems mostly those on the Right do not trust. Now, why would that be case?
Two assumptions can be immediately made: 1) if those on the Left trust it more, it must be biased; 2) there a lot of lies out there about Obama. Only an earnest attempt to verify the veracity of snopes.com can answer those questions.
I have used Bing, google, and yahoo in the search to find any reference to snopes.com being proven wrong: I found three non-political examples were their facts were somewhat off but later corrected the errors and printed an apology.

I read that Snopes is bankrolled by Obama backer billionaire George Soros ! Does that explain anything ?
