Now that I think of it, though, since it was YOU who started a whole topic wishing everyone a happy day of getting stoned, maybe I should have said you should get OFF of yours!!

Yes but I'm retiring next year I'll be 80 .

We had some really high yields in 22 and 23 and high prices and I had half of my 22 bean crop carried over so selling those plus my 2023 crop and I had paid all my 2024 crop expense and put a chunk of money into my SEP plus carrying over half of my 23 bean and still ended up in the higher bracket .

Wow! You are one hard-working American!! And believe me, we appreciate your efforts! Retiring 15 years after everyone else usually does is admirable! Congratulations on your decision to retire after all those years of contributing to society!! Good Job!!!

Here's the thing - I don't call people morons or @$$holes, or idiots or any other childish names.
I try - most of the time - to make statements of fact backed up by article links to government departments, respected organizations or news sites.

I wrote for a local newspaper for years and still write the occasional press release or history article.

I admit that sometimes my irritation at the statements made and insults used by way more than half the people in the MAGA group get under my skin after awhile.

If you consider me pointing out the difference between 'to' and "too" or "their" "there" and "they're" insulting... I can just about imagine how much fun you were for your teachers to have in class.

It isn't even stupidity. It's as though people of this stamp are proud of speaking or writing in a way that makes them look or sound uneducated or ignorant.

Not having a chance to learn is one thing. Having had a chance to learn and refusing not to is determined ignorance - which can carry over into every aspect of life.
Here's the thing - I don't call people morons or @... (show quote)

You JUST called people "stupid", "uneducated" and "ignorant" (!!)....and you call people "MAGA" (and don't try to tell us it's not an insult - you mean it as one when you say it - - even your username is an insult!!!)...and you call people "irrational" and unintelligible and other words that are insulting to people here, too.

And then you come back with all those words to try and walk back all your insults!!

If it's THAT important to you, maybe you should not do it in the first place! šŸ˜¶šŸ˜

And saying that "you do it, so I do it too" is about as lame as it gets when you're wrong and don't want to admit it.

Get off your high horse - you aren't all that....

One other aspect of the "Illegal Migrant" problem that is flying under the radar!

There is a "massive amount of buying up of hotel room blocks by the city in order to house newly arrived migrant populations. This warps the market for hotel rooms in profound ways. NYC has at least 140 active contracts with city hotels to fill all their vacant rooms, normally valued around $110 per night, but marked up by 73 percent to $190 for a room. Vacancies mean lower prices, but if surrounding inns are full, hotel prices rise for consumers.

This arrangement may not be what hoteliers had in mind for their business, but it has proven highly lucrative for the properties cooperating with the city in these contracts."

One other aspect of the "Illegal Migrant"... (show quote)

Is NYC getting money from Biden for this?

My question is how long will this go on? And when the government gets tired of paying for all these illegals (i.e., after the election) where are they going to go where they can get their freebies?

They will branch out into the suburbs to our towns and smaller citiesā€¦where they can do what they do bestā€¦loot and squat.

I sincerely doubt they are going to become working, tax-paying American citizens.

Here are the 3 stages of Alzheimer's. Which one do you think Biden is at?....(I think Middle...but clearly headed to third/end stage)

Early-stage Alzheimer's (mild)

In the early stage of Alzheimer's, a person may function independently. He or she may still drive, work and be part of social activities. Despite this, the person may feel as if he or she is having memory lapses, such as forgetting familiar words or the location of everyday objects.

Symptoms may not be widely apparent at this stage, but family and close friends may take notice and a doctor would be able to identify symptoms using certain diagnostic tools.

Common difficulties include:

Coming up with the right word or name.
Remembering names when introduced to new people.
Having difficulty performing tasks in social or work settings.
Forgetting material that was just read.
Losing or misplacing a valuable object.
Experiencing increased trouble with planning or organizing.ā€‹

Middle-stage Alzheimer's (moderate)

Middle-stage Alzheimer's is typically the longest stage and can last for many years. As the disease progresses, the person with Alzheimer's will require a greater level of care.

During the middle stage of Alzheimerā€™s, the dementia symptoms are more pronounced. the person may confuse words, get frustrated or angry, and act in unexpected ways, such as refusing to bathe. Damage to nerve cells in the brain can also make it difficult for the person to express thoughts and perform routine tasks without assistance.

Symptoms, which vary from person to person, may include:

Being forgetful of events or personal history.
ā€‹Feeling moody or withdrawn, especially in socially or mentally challenging situations.
Being unable to recall information about themselves like their address or telephone number, and the high school or college they attended.
Experiencing confusion about where they are or what day it is.
Requiring help choosing proper clothing for the season or the occasion.
Having trouble controlling their bladder and bowels.
Experiencing changes in sleep patterns, such as sleeping during the day and becoming restless at night.
Showing an increased tendency to wander and become lost.
Demonstrating personality and behavioral changes, including suspiciousness and delusions or compulsive, repetitive behavior like hand-wringing or tissue shredding.

In the middle stage, the person living with Alzheimerā€™s can still participate in daily activities with assistance. Itā€™s important to find out what the person can still do or find ways to simplify tasks. As the need for more intensive care increases, caregivers may want to consider respite care or an adult day center so they can have a temporary break from caregiving while the person living with Alzheimerā€™s continues to receive care in a safe environment.

Late-stage Alzheimer's (severe)

In the final stage of the disease, dementia symptoms are severe. Individuals lose the ability to respond to their environment, to carry on a conversation and, eventually, to control movement. They may still say words or phrases, but communicating pain becomes difficult. As memory and cognitive skills continue to worsen, significant personality changes may take place and individuals need extensive care.

At this stage, individuals may:

Require around-the-clock assistance with daily personal care.
ā€‹Lose awareness of recent experiences as well as of their surroundings.
Experience changes in physical abilities, including walking, sitting and, eventually, swallowing
Have difficulty communicating.
Become vulnerable to infections, especially pneumonia.

The person living with Alzheimerā€™s may not be able to initiate engagement as much during the late stage, but he or she can still benefit from interaction in ways that are appropriate, like listening to relaxing music or receiving reassurance through gentle touch. During this stage, caregivers may want to use support services, such as hospice care, which focus on providing comfort and dignity at the end of life. Hospice can be of great benefit to people in the final stages of Alzheimerā€™s and other dementias and their families.

This is a Hail Mary on his part.
And a MESS thanks to his SCOTUS.

So - again - What does that (you saying Trump cares only about himself) have to do with Trump advocating for presidential immunity while someone else is president??

Again....How is Trump "caring about no one but himself", when he is advocating for presidential immunity WHILE HE IS NOT THE PRESIDENT AND SOMEONE ELSE - Joe Biden - IS?

It's pretty clear that Trump's statement demonstrates that he does not care only about himself!!

Do you not understand the question? I've posed it two different ways, so you can comprehend it...

If you don't understand it, you will have to get someone else to help you understand it. I can't think of any way to make it clearer.

When someone like the person you are referring to presents himself as the smartest person in the room like this straightup fellow itā€™s obvious they are a narcissistic a$$ .
Avoid them at all costs.

Several people, including myself, have said that to this person. It doesn't do any good for the narcissist, but when other people make the connection that he is one, it makes sense to them. It makes it easier to ignore them!

It's something to keep in mind when considering ignoring someone....they are arrogant AH's who will never change - because they think they are just fine up there in the clouds on their high pedestals.

I do understand, though, that when they get too obnoxious and start bashing people personally - which this person does constantly - it's worth it to come out of ignoring them and support the one being bashed....that's where I cross the "I am going to ignore this jerk" line.
