Don't know about McCain being recruited by a criminal syndicate, but he certainly was recruited by the North Koreans to be a collaborator and to make propaganda broadcasts to American POW's. Wasn't this "hero" seen by POWs as clean shaven,well dressed, and well fed in the prison camp? Wasn't he called the "song bird" by his captors? Why and how did he get a presidential pardon when he returned to America? Was it ever publicly disclosed as to why and for what he needed a pardon?

made propaganda broadcasts to other prisoners and signed documents admitting to bombing civilians. McCain reportedly was seen by other prisoners as being clean shaven, well dressed and well fed.I have also read the McCain was given a pardon by President Nixon but nothing about why a presidential pardon was necessary. I have also seen or heard nothing about his fellow prisoners coming to his aid when Trump questioned his "heroic" title.
