Morning. Mind telling me what "restrictions" he lifted?
Obama privately supports confiscation. He realizes it is not politically feasible.When he was a Senator, he voted to ban private ownership of handguns, ban ALL semi-automatic firearms, including expensive shotguns and rifles with 3 round magazines used for hunting; his was a minority vote to prosecute people who used firearms to defend their homes, he publicly supported restrictions on firearms that would have precluded many police from purchasing them, he supported a ruinous annual tax on firearms owners, and another on ammuntion.
He also supported a revocation of all concealed carry permits nationally, and a Federal Firearms Registry that is illegal under US law and has been so for 30 years.
France has very strict gun control, and a very open border. Maybe you would like to see that here.
After all, Liberals are constantly holding the European pseudo-socialisms up as an example of what the US
should be. Now all of those nice, open bordered gun free societies are war zones.
No offense, but you DO realize that the FBI has said they have no way to vet the thousands of Syrian refugees that Obama wants to bring into this country? Refugees that were created in part by his clueless foreign policy?
Do you realize that people on the terror watch list have been apprehended sneaking in over our Southern Border? Did you think the only people coming in were starry-eyed immigrants in search of the "American Dream?" (Or the American handout ).
Your God-King, Obama ("PRAISE HIS NAME HALLELUJAH!" ) is on a mission not to fundamentally change, but fundamentally destroy this country. He wants to turn us into one of the Socialistic failed experiments in Europe. He supports an open border with Mexico, but it's only open one way. He is bringing in thousands of unvetted refugees in spite of the fact that we have no way to check them for criminal and terror connections. He releases thousands of violent foreign criminals back onto our streets and doesn't believe private citizens should own firearms. Forget his public statements, look at his voting record.
So go ahead with your snide remarks about the NRA, of which I am a member. We would already be disarmed were it not for them. Much of the "gun control that never happened that you are crowing about never happened because it was nipped in the bud by NRA members.
You Liberals will never get it right because you will never address the real source of the problem, which is Black and Hispanic crime. Most of the murders and violent gun related crime in this country is committed by these two groups, in spite of their relatively small representation in the population as a whole. Urban black and Hispanic males between the ages of 15 and 45 represent barely 10% of the population, and they commit 75% of the murders, and more than 90% of the other violent crimes. These are FBI stats, not something from some right wing publication that you would never believe. As a matter of fact, the murder rate for non-Hispanic whites is almost identical in the US, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland, regardless of the severity or slackness of the gun laws and availability of firearms. Except for the US, every other country I mentioned is around 98% white, as opposed to the US, which is about 70%. It doesn't matter if you put a bunch of law-abiding people in a room with a bunch of loaded machine guns; no one is going to commit a crime with them. I have mentioned this several times and provided links to back up my assertions several times which Liberals apparently don't bother to read, having their own authoritative sources such as Salon and Daily Kos and Mother Jones. You folks apparently don't need such RWNJ publications such as the FBI and local police reports, the Wall Street Journal, and even UN studies that you love to quote when they suit your agenda.

Dr Ben on Fox Sunday morning sounded anything but competent:

WALLACE: If I may sir, if I may, let me focus on the military component because obviously after the slaughter of over a hundred people….You have said that you would as president would try and create an International coalition, militarily to go after ISIS, How would you put that together? Who would you call first?

CARSON: Well, what I was just explaining, how we would use the resources that we have that includes some of our special ops people working in conjunction with an effective fighting force there. Those are the kinds of things that will create enthusiasm as we begin to take back the land, take back the areas, and, and damage their image throughout the world.

WALLACE: But who would you call first, specifically to put together an International military coalition?

CARSON: My point being, if we get out there and really lead and it appears that we’re making progress then all of the Arab states and even the non Arab states, who I think are beginning to recognize that the, the, the jihad movement is global…..but if we fight it there, they will have to pool their resources in that area and then we won’t have to necessarily won’t have to fight them here. That’s all I’m saying.

WALLACE: But, can you tell us who you would call first, sir? On the International front.

CARSON: I would call on all of the Arab states….

moldyoldy-it is Iran who is threatening war if we do not follow the instructions outlined in their one-sided deal. Do you really believe Iran will honor any agreement which they enter into ? They have cheated in the past so can we afford to take the chance if it results in them acquiring a nuclear device while enhancing their capability to deliver one ? Had Iran made such a threat some seven years ago, their sites would probably already be history. They obviously sense total weakness in our leadership or they would not be making any threats. PS. How hard would it be for everyone in Washington and take even 10 minutes to take a stand together, issue a statement regarding the rioting, and flat out issue that enough is enough. You see people going bonkers saying that black lives matter...saying how bad the cops are...everything but saying that the violence of a mob rioting is to be condemned? Where is THAT coming from? NO Place. If Obama does say anything, he will avoid that the rioting was and is totally not acceptable. Watch his words...tell me he is not part of this then.
