CH, do you see any insults in my post?

I have worked all my life, only briefly for a Union company. I am 66 and still working, though part time, being semi-retired. I provided some information that is easily verifiable and I would provide sites except I believe it is good for a person to do the work themselves.
Have their been abuses by unions? Yes, many but that does not mean they haven't helped Americans form their high standard of living. Just saying, "Yeah, sure," in a sarcastic tone and making no effort to check the facts seems a shame.

What I said is not a liberal post; it is simply factual. History.

I have to ask. Why be insulting?

Almost forgot. It was unions that brought real prosperity to this country, creating a strong middle class. Look it up. We owe the unions a great debt to unions for making America the leading country in the world.
Since the decline in unions, income disparity between the wealthy and middle class has risen by 126%. Earning power has stayed at practically the same place for almost two decades, instead of regularly and vigorously ascending when unions were strong. Look it up.

I read all the comments as well and have to ask a question: have any of you guys ever worked for a living? Have any of you guys read the history of labor prior to unions?
Like your weekends? Like safety measures on the job? Like the forty day work week? Like a retirement fund? Just a few things unions brought to the work place.
Maybe y'all prefer sweatshops, company stores, dangerous working conditions, or seven day eighty hour weeks for pennies an hour? Just a few of the things Capitalists brought to the work place. And they will again once y'all get your way.

He's right, we don't need, and never have needed, the gov't permission for all of what he said. What's the point?
He forgot a few, though, like permission to brush our teeth and comb our hair and to burp. There are probably a lot more. Maybe next nonsense speech.

Recent developments hopefully lead us away from any tie to these aristocratic elected officials, with their ties to Big Business, both Left and Right. Congress just a stepping stone to the far more lucrative position as lobbyist, or the misrepresentation of our needs in whatever area of greater concern to the profiteers.

Fox News doesn't report; it invents. For days now Bill O'Reilly has been "reporting" that an agent from the IRS visited the White House 157 times. That figure was debunked a week ago: it was actually 11 times for required reports. But he keeps insisting this is the "smoking gun" that shows the president himself ordered this one office to treat the Tea Party differently.
Putting aside the emotional rush of understandable outrage at this mistake by those agents of the IRS, there remains just cause for their actions. Tax exempt status is not for political groups. The biggest abusers of this have been Republican Superpacs. This does not excuse the fact that more conservative groups got greater scrutiny but some liberal groups got the same treatment.
