Michael Phelps may be the greatest Olympian the world has ever known but for CNN host W. Kamau Bell, he is just a "tall, successful, rich white guy" who clearly didn’t "need the honor" of being chosen by his athlete peers as America's flag-bearer. Instead, Bell exclaims, Ibtihaj Muhammad, a woman, an African-American and a Muslim to boot, should have been chosen because "right now America has enough tall, successful, rich white guys hogging the spotlight trying to make America great."

But, as BizPacreview.com reports, liberals wanted U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps to give up the honor of carrying the American flag and leading his country’s athletes at the opening ceremony for the Rio Olympic games Friday night.

He’s the wrong color and the wrong sex.

W. Kamau Bell, host of CNN's "United Shades of America," described the swimming sensation as a “tall, successful, rich white guy” who clearly didn’t "need the honor."

“With 22 Olympic medals, you are already the most decorated athlete in Olympic history,” he said.

But American fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad is a different story...a woman, an African-American and a Muslim to boot.

“Muhammad carrying the flag would be much bigger than your one moment,” Bell writes. “It would be a symbol for our country in this moment when we are mostly known for one of the most contentious, controversial, scandal-ridden, hateful, xenophobic, jingoistic, and just generally unlikable presidential elections in recent memory. This is at a time when we could use some more symbols of unity and togetherness.”

Bell referred to Muhammad as “a one-stop inclusion shop due to her race, sex, and religion. Phelps, on the other hand, was something else entirely.

“No offense, but right now America has enough tall, successful, rich white guys hogging the spotlight trying to make America great,” he said, in an obvious reference to Donald Trump.

"No offense"... but sadly it appears the supposedly apolitical Olympic Games has been hijacked by the liberal agenda - under the guise of fairness, so you can't argue with that, right? – to further the divide in today's identity politics.

Perhaps when Ibtihaj has won dozens of Olympic medals over a 20-year career, she will also get the opportunity... or perhaps a black, Muslim swimmer will emerge who is gender-uncertain and slightly disabled to topple the crown of liberal queen?

My thoughts are, I'm looking for Jesus to come for the church. My trust is in Jesus and those putting their faith in the next elected president "Trump" are in for many disappointments.

Others say America must fall, since it's not mentioned "specifically ". I think it would be difficult to have a dogmatic belief... but if America does stand it will take a revival nationwide and a Christian leader submissive to God.

Estimating Joe the Plumber's tax bill

During the final presidential debate in Hempstead, N.Y., Barack Obama and John McCain got into an argument about Joe the Plumber.

McCain said Joe would get a bigger tax bill under the Obama tax plan. Obama defended himself by saying that "98 percent of small businesses make less than $250,000" and would not see a tax increase under the Obama plan.

Joe the Plumber is an actual person: Joe Wurzelbacher, who met Obama during a campaign stop a few days before the debate in Toledo, Ohio.

"I'm getting ready to buy a company that makes about $250,000, $270,000, $280,000 a year," he told Obama. "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?"

Obama said yes, it would --see their entire conversation on YouTube -- but Obama defended his tax policy as being good for people who are struggling.

"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance at success, too," Obama said.

During the debate, John McCain mentioned Joe the Plumber at least a dozen times as the kind of small business owner who would pay more taxes under Obama's plans.

It's not clear from the exchange just what Joe means when he says the business "makes" up to $280,000 a year. Is he talking about total revenue? Profits? That's an important point here and it's one that Obama and Joe the Plumber never discussed. Based on Obama's proposals and current tax policy, for Joe's taxes to rise Joe would have to "make" $250,000 in net profit, after deducting all his expenses: his employees' pay, his supplies, his truck, his fuel costs, and other legitimate business expenses. He'd have to be an extremely successful plumber.

In response to McCain's statements during the debate, Obama said only 2 percent of small businesses would be subject to the tax.

It seems likely that Obama is right, according to data and an analysis from the experts at the Tax Policy Center.

Obama's plan is to roll back the Bush tax cuts on the top two tax brackets. In practice, this means that people with income above $200,000 for single people and $250,000 for couples would see taxes increase.

Now what does this mean for small businesses? It's not as easy as you might think to identify small businesses via the tax code. But there are several typical ways that small business owners pay their taxes, usually by declaring business income on their individual tax returns. Many people who declare business income are small businesses, though the group also includes professionals like lawyers, authors, or public speakers.

Looking at all the tax filers who report any business income at all, the Tax Policy Center confirms that about 2 percent will see their taxes increase under Obama's plan.

In an effort to focus more effectively on small business owners, the Tax Policy Center did an additional analysis where they looked at people who reported business income that accounted for at least 50 percent of their income. This means people who derive a significant living off their business income.

In 2007, about 2 percent of those tax filers would have made enough money to see a tax increase under Obama's plans.

There is a small bit of uncertainty in the best data available; it includes some people who we would not think of as traditional small business owners. But still, Obama's statement during the debate that "98 percent of small businesses make less than $250,000" matches the findings of a respected, non-partisan group of tax analysts. For that reason, we rate Obama's statement True.

Trump was correct on using nuclear capabilities if necessary. I would say N.Korea, China, and Iran. Seeing that our illustrious leader has handed them the keys to Armageddon. I worry that Hillary will win, it will be the end of our country as we know it. No, I do not have questions about it, we deliberately escalated the naval efforts in the area. So, firing on ships were inevitable, the Congs would not or could not catch the faster and more experienced smaller craft of the South. So... the Cong went after the "slower" craft. The posturing of the North put them in a difficult position, to save face they could not back down in their efforts. The USS Maddox was shot at... and in the end, the Cong's boats were no match to the 5 inch guns and air support from USS Ticonderoga.... the next day, the USS Turner Joy joined the undamaged Maddox. Both ship Captains reported a second attack, which turned out to be untrue, but by now it was too late... LBJ wanted and needed a detraction form his failing policies at home and escalating the conflict took peoples' minds away from social unrest, to include marches and riots at home and the growing poverty levels. (I will hold my opinion about the murder of President Kennedy.... not apropos to your question.) Bottom line, yes I think that President Johnson was eager and he made no secret of his views and opinions on the conflict. It is also my opinion that we should not have been in Vietnam. Not only was it a slaughter house for our military with politicians deciding war strategy, ... it was also a money pit. The more money tossed into the "conflict" because it was never a declared war, the more money, machines, and manpower was demanded. And aid, regardless of what Mel Laird is quoted as saying, aid was not terminated until four years after our last serviceman (in uniform, not our low profile suits) left the area and totaled more than $700,000,000--lots of money in 1975. This conflict, and the reporting of "atrocities" committed by our military did more to damage the military than any conflict after the Northern Aggression on the South. Morale hit rock bottom because it was politicians making battle plans and not the military brass, conditions our military endured were downright primitive. And then there was STDs that took many military men.... and when those men and women returned home, it was not the welcome of hero but rather the scorn of the youths calling them baby killers. My opinion, again, this was the start of the military decline and it has not recovered. Indeed, LBJ started a new type of enslavement of the poor... but, that was not part of your question.

LBJ certainly played his part, but Vietnam dated back to the Eisenhower time.... then along came the Kennedy escalation.... perhaps you are too young to remember our advisory roll.... which was a tad bit more than advisory, 3,200 U.S. military personnel were in Vietnam as advisors, supported by $65 million in military equipment and $136 million in economic aid. Look up MACV or Military Assistance Command, Vietnam. Truth be told, by the time LBJ took action, Vietnam was ready to fall... more than 40 percent of S. Vietnam was controlled by Communist. Most of their supplies came from China and the USSR... the Gulf of Tonkin Incident just forced LBJ to either eat or leave the table.

China has been selling off our bonds for how long now?? They held so much, they literally held our Federal Reserve up!! They sold off in anticipation of debt for all and didn't want to get left holding the bag, knowing they were going to attack us from the financial end all along....Result, forcing our dollar devaluation, which I have always felt is why they have been selling it off..

Then we have Russia and China joining together for that fantastic oil deal where they were going to control everything in theMiddle East..Unfortunately or fortunately, they did not anticipate the Middle East melt down that pretty much slammed THEMSELVES in that diabolical windfall and control they sought..

For one country to call in the debt of another would only cause that country to call in theirs to another..The domino effect of that would certain occur just as you suggest..

However, the true money movers would never let that happen as they would lose everything as well..They will continue to insure the clickers will click and money will float the globe..There is no other choice, lest all countries call in debts that no country can pay in total and yes, financial collapse of the world occurs..

I may be absolutely wrong in this "assumption", but feel it will not occur because no one gains anything and the true movers and shakers also loose everything...??????
