I agree but only if these kids work on their studies and not using this time to protest every thing under the sun and they must take at least one semester in civics.
My dad fought in 1944-45 and he never called it "the good war" like my self he to lost to many friends. But I have to ask you now, if you were 18 or 19 years during this time and in the military would you have gone to Viet Nam or would you have skipped up to Canada?
I guess you and Bernie were to busy protesting the war to not know that the democrats which controlled the house, the senate, and there was also president Johnson were all for this build up of troops no matter what the cost to a lot of friends of mine. I never agreed with this war, but served my country anyway. I didn't burn my draft card, didn't go hide up in Canada, just served my country. Yet you end your comment by saying to me "up yours" And at the same time you served this country by protesting- your offspring must be proud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to viet nam in 1963 as an advisor to there military at their request. At that time there were 5000 total US military in that country. I went back in 1969 and there were 500,000 US military to include the US navy, Now what party do you think did this build up and also wanted us to fight this war from Washington,DC.?

I know just how you feel. I served under 7 commander-in-chiefs, and I never said anything bas about them. But I really don't think I could keep my mouth shut about Bam Bam !!! As bad as Carter was for the military he could be compared to Bam Bam.

I have noticed over the past couple of decades, that there has been a movement to tear anyone down who believes in God. I start asking myself why do they try so hard to do this? The only conclusion I can come up with, is that the left hates our constitution and the only way to get to get rid of it is to say this is not valid because God is written into it.
It might be wiser for our new president to find a way to stop granting anchor baby status. This would stop a lot of border problems!!
I have never understood having spent 21 years of my life in the military, how anyone from the top brass down can be a demarcate and at the same time be looked down upon by that same party?
