It is brilliance, especially the first part. I do see one exception though:
Henry Ford was wrong on this one. The American Indian had zero interest in being a 'ward of the State', and was physically forced onto the reservations at gun point. The government, while having the best of intentions (*cough*), appointed Indian agents who were more than happy to graft all they could from their position as provider of all things 'Indian'. Indians who 'broke out' were literally hunted down like escaped criminals.
It's a good warning, just a bad analogy.
