Sharia law doesn't exist in the USA. Not in any official form- get same real sources other than right wing paranoia lies.

I never said it has been implemented, but they(CAIR) are looking at the possibilities of incorporating a form of Sharia for Muslim women to get divorces that satisfies their religion which our American courts don't do, in their perspective. That will be a start and will snowball from there. By the way, this is not right-wing thinking....it is what Islam is all about, which has become an ideology and political tool as opposed to a religious belief.

And when you were so adamant about your belief that there have not been any gun regulations passed in 5 years?
I showed you that also and for some reason there was silence on your end.

So what's up with this list? Magid is Obama's "Sharia" Czar? Really? The Islamic Society of North America does not promote Sharia and Magid has never spoken of instituting it here. Another right wing lie. Magid promotes dialogue between all faiths and all branches of these faiths, including some conservative Islamic organizations that may or may not promote Sharia. Or with ultra-Orthodox Jewish organizations that may or may not promote the Jewish version of Sharia. So what?

Eboo Patel, a Muslim, who founded the Interfaith Youth Core withe the help of a Jewish friend and a grant from that radical organization The Ford Foundation, has promoted communication and interaction between different faiths and has urged Muslim groups to promote the rights of women. Sounds like a dangerous radical. Patel has been praised and honored by dozens of organizations and publications of everything but the extreme right fringe. His name is not anglo, therefore he is suspect by the right fringe-that, and the fact that he is Muslim, appears to be his main sins.

The right has tried to smear Mohammed Elibiary, of the Organization of Islamic Conferences by saying he leaked information that was intended to smear Texas Gov. Rick Perry where Elibiary worked with other Muslim organizations, Christian Churches and Christian church organization to promote internfaith programs and has worked with law enforcement organizations nationwide to help separate law-abiding Muslims from jihadists. Problem is the "left leaning" publication Elibiary allegedly approached with the classified information was never identified and no publication, left or right, has come out and said they were approached by Elibiary. He is listed as a 'stealth jihadists" by right wingers, meaning there's nothing to the charge that he promotes violence of any type. Elibiary is associated with such radical organizations as the University of South Carolina and the Texas Interfaith Council as well as various law enforcement agencies nationwide. .Sounds like a dangerous guy.

After looking into these three, I gave up. Obviously a smear campaign by the right because these guys, like the president, have non-Anglo names. Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the US so it would stand to figure that representatives of mainstream Islam would be included on the dialogue between all faiths here in the US. And if we're dealing with a very real radical Islamic jihadist threat, wouldn't a mainstream Muslim who has renounced violence be a good addition to the team combating violent acts by violent Muslims? What's the problem with that?

These guys don't have anglo sounding names-the only thing they're guilty of. President Obama's cabinet is still made up largely of white Anglo males, something he was criticized for after he was re-elected.

Terms like "stealth jihadist" and "Sharia czar" have no meaning unless there's some evidence to back it up. And you haven't provided anything to do that. Another right wing demagogue.
So what's up with this list? Magid is Obama's &quo... (show quote)

Also sorry to disappoint you, it's not that I'm avoiding tough questions. It's because I really find myself disagreeing with you and truth to tell, I do believe (my perception, mind you) that you are so certain of YOUR truth, that nothing I could say would dissuade you, so I see no point. I merely state the obvious.

It's like this. If I feel that you are insulting me, even from afar, I will defend myself. That's what I did in my response to you, because quite frankly I have become so weary of everyone yelling and asserting their truths and stating that someone or perhaps me is anti-God, unpatriotic, "mental" -- hey, I take my meds, and any other uptight, hysterical descriptive label that comes to mind. However, if you make statements that I recognize as YOUR personal truths, and I have come to recognize individualized-personal-truth-speaks for what they are -- set in CONCRETE (it's possible they "may not" necessarily be wrong, with emphasis on "may not") -- there is no possibility of open dialogue. Sorry, while I am open to looking at others opinions, even stepping back and saying "well, I had not thought of it that way" -- I am NOT, repeat NOT, open to being to being insulted merely because I might challenge you to take another look at personal truths. If you wish real discourse, I'm totally open to it. C'mon down in cyberspace, let's talk. Fair warning, angry speak is not my mother tongue. I'm not here to trade insults. Just sayin'...

I'm sorry, but I did not intentionally insult you. I merely asked you a question that you still have not answered. I have found that when someone on here is intelligently challenged by a good question they seem to refuse to respond due to not having an answer.
I asked you if Northam was a better choice than EW Jackson even when he promotes this:

http://bearingdrift.com/2013/10/16/northam-kill-the-babies-because-they-might-get-sad/

After viewing that link, would you have voted for Northam over Jackson?

It's a yes or no question, that's all. I, in no way, was trying to insult you because believe me, you haven't done anything to deserve an insult.

What federal gun law has been passed since Obama became president-not one. Not one. Name it or shut up. Talk is cheap, but name ONE federal gun (firearms) control law passed in the past five years-just one. The states, you say? That's not Obama-we're talking federal.

The ACA forces you to buy health insurance like the states force you to buy car insurance. Health care, as well as care for injuries sustained in an auto accident, cost society. Like the states, the federal government is simply trying to make sure you don't get charged for someone else'w health care.

If you don't have health insurance and you get sick, SOMEONE else is going to pay for it. With an Old Fool like you, I certainly hope it isn't me-that's a violation of MY rights. I'd let you die in the street in a hot second, but they don't allow that-you'd be cared for on the taxpayer's dime even if you had the money to pay for health insurance before you got sick. And, like most self-righteous righties, you probably don't spend on health insurance and would expect to be cared for it you got sick-on someone else's dime..

That's the problem with the fringe right-stay out of my business until I need something-then it's drop everything and cater to those who are too self-righteous and plain old selfish to take care of themselves. Take care of ME, not that other person who doesn't deserve it seems to be the carlion call of the right. No wonder states that vote Republican most consistently are the states that suck more out of the national treasury than they submit in revenue to the same. "We want the goveernment off of our backs" Then you owe years of reparations for the money you've sucked out of the treasury

If your to stupid to see that, go away, Old Fool. Bill Clinton calls. "Bend over, Old Fool. "
What federal gun law has been passed since Obama b... (show quote)

You kind of suck at this debating stuff.

This was implemented this past August:

The Obama administration unexpectedly announced two new gun control measures on Thursday, including one that would curb the import of military surplus weapons -- in a move that could anger collectors.

Vice President Biden announced the new measures Thursday morning. The new rules, announced while Washington was otherwise focused on the crisis in Syria, took the form of executive actions, which President Obama added to the list of 23 steps the White House already determined the president could take on his own.

As far as your analogy of Obamacare to car insurance,,,,,wrong again. Driving a car is a privilege and one must take a test, be old enough, or even have access to a vehicle. If you are not old enough, cannot pass the test, or have access to a vehicle, regardless of how old you are, you are not required to have car insurance. Not everyone drives Nimrod.

On Obamacare:

Why on earth would a 4 year old need contraception included in their plan and an 85 year old need maternity coverage in theirs? It's ludicrous don't you think?

Here...let me explain this abomination to you so maybe even a Hungry Freaky dude can even understand.

The actual purpose for this massive takeover of one-sixth of the entire U.S. economy and ultimately the establishment (through Obamacare's intentional and inevitable destruction of private health insurance) of a true "single payer" system - that is, socialized medicine.

The payoff is a permanent, vast increase in government control over virtually every aspect of Americans' lives. Since so many things affect people's health, once the government is paying for all healthcare, it will progressively regulate and control individuals' lives to minimize their health risks - what they eat, what they do, what they drive, what kind of entertainment they watch - EVERYTHING. Period

Can you possibly comprehend this thing, or am I going too fast for a hungry freak such as yourself.

It would not have mattered what party he ran for. I would not have voted for him and it is obvious that many must have felt the same way. Beautiful place you live in CL...glad you could opine.
To your credit...

Ben Carson will...
•Repeal Obamacare and replace it with a free market approach
•End redistribution of income policies because they are immoral, unworkable and unjust
•Balance the federal budget by cutting spending across the board by 10% each year until the budget is balanced
•Appoint judges that believe in the original intent of those that wrote the Constitution
•End the war on religion, and defend your right to witness your faith
•Tell the truth to the American people
•Follow a policy of peace through strength and if it becomes necessary to fight, his response will be overwhelming, not proportional
•Reduce taxes across the board for all Americans
•Reduce regulations and the red tape that stifle economic growth
•Defend your right to keep and bear arms
•Support school voucher programs
•Encourage any and all energy production to make the USA totally energy independent
•End Political Correctness

Dr. Ben Carson is the right man in the right place at the right time. PERIOD!

POTUS is not a word, it's an abbreviation:

The President of the United States (POTUS)[7] is the head of state and head of government of the United States. The president leads the executive branch of the federal government and is the commander-in-chief of the United States Armed Forces. The person in this position is the leader of the country which has the largest economy and the largest military, with command authority over the largest active nuclear arsenal. The president is frequently described as the most powerful person in the world.

This does not, by any means, denigrate his role as the leader of the free world.
Where did you get "Messiah" anywhere in this discussion.
I started this discussion to hopefully open some eyes to the abominations that are bestowed upon us and to also get good feedback from others as to why this has to happen in our generation.
God has lifted the veil of protection He had once given us when He blessed us with this land. Now that we have turned away from Him we will get what we deserve unless we turn BACK to Him to win favor for the Blessings He gave us when this once great nation was under God and indivisible.
