The average voter wants change and thinks he or she will get it by re-electing the same unhung criminals who caused the problems in the first place. Invincible ignorance.

Although unhung is most likely a correct description of most politicians, if you mean "by the neck until dead", the word is unhanged.

If you load shotgun shells with jelly beans, when you fire them you get a cloud of powdered sugar and the jelly part really, really stings. Very impressive! No death, just pain.

Here are three issues I would like to see Trump and the Republican Congress address and/or correct:

1. Voter ID instituted nationwide

2. Standardization of vote tally with elimination of Software controlled counting.

3. Constitutional amendment explicitly defining Natural Born Citizen and a requirement to present
proof to congress with announcement of Presidential Candidacy.

Add your list of changes needed to improve our government

Some kind of second amendment expansion to institute national constitutional/concealed carry.
New DOJ to prosecute all past illegalities by politicians and bureaucrats.
Get rid of Obamacare.
Term limits for everyone, legislators, judges and anywhere needed.
Get rid of federal departments, education, HHS, EPA, etc.

Political science 101: truth is relative, i.e., the truth is whatever you want it to be and can get people to believe. Would a Republican believe a scandal about another Republican, as readily as they'd believe the same about a Democrat? Probably not, just as a Democrat would more readily believe a story about a Republican.

Being told by people you trust more than others, that Mexicans are taking American's jobs, and you're out of work, you'll blame Mexicans - even if you're out of work because you're a drunk/drug addict. We never blame ourselves for anything, someone else is ALWAYS at fault - so to earn easy and cheap political points - give angry people someone to blame and they're yours.

Americans are lazy, apathetic, entitled cry babies - and the fault lies with ISIS, Muslims, Mexicans, welfare moochers, democrats, republicans..............................................

Having been the first to take your wager, and preparing for the possibility of leaving, I thank you for being so magnanimous. Please stick around and do not leave on my account. It's only politics.

I have important news: Every single one of us is receiving government benefits. Which ones are you willing to give up? That may be a difficult question if you are unaware of the benefits all of us receive. THINK about it AND THEN comment about it.

The state of Illinois and Chicago have very strict gun laws. Yet almost 4000 people including children have been shot since Jan 1. Doing more of what already does not work never has solved a problem and borders on insanity. In south St.Louis recently two black teenage thugs tried ,with a stolen gun, to rob a 73 year old. He has CC permit and shot and killed both of the robbers in his garage. I never saw this on a major news outlet. BLM is trying to persuade the local police to charge the shooter but thankfully their plea has fallen on deaf ears.

Guns are not the problem but the problems are with those that choose to use guns to commit a crime. Perhaps you can remember when car hijacking was an epidemic. Laws were changed to make car hijacking a federal offense with a stiff sentence and car hijacking incidences dwindled. If using a gun to commit a crime became a federal law that carried a stiff automatic prison sentence, this would make a violator thing twice before using a gun to commit a crime. Possession of stolen or illegal gun would also be a federal crime with the same sentence. This worked well in New York in the past, but the liberal establishment has taken the bite out of gun crimes and gun crimes are on the increase.

Don't fret. The money for SS isn't in a "lock box," but we will fund your SS entitlement so you can continue your retirement with that safety net intact.

Don't blame either party. We chose our representatives and continue to reelect the same people. We have to admit that if they didn't lie to us, we wouldn't vote for them. We don't want the truth, we want bull shte and for them to call it truth.

We bitch when we get our charge card bill and we forget who decided to charge the stuff. We want the magic of free stuff and we want to blame someone for having to pay for it. We have become a bunch of whiners who don't want to take responsibility for our actions. I am conservative and one of the most important values of conservatism is individual responsibility.

OUR highways, fire protection, water, police, public schools, medical research, postal service, internet, military, libraries, sewer and professional safeguards are some of the benefits all of us receive from OUR government. Gluegun, gluegun! This is the problem with you statists. These are not benefits, they are strings. They are sticks in America's collective butt. And even if you want to bend over and take it, these are things to be done by the state's or local governments not the Fed's.
