I believe Plato was thinking of a SOW's ear, honey.

God and the humanist were talking. The humanist said "Your story of the creation of man is bunk--why I can make a man of a handful of mud". God says "Fine, but make your own mud."

Humanists deny the creator, but not one of them can make mud. Not one of them can create anything, start or stop time.

As they unfold the mysteries of nature they simply learn more of the way the Creator did things.

As I wrote the thought came to me: I wonder how the Creator tested his prototype "man"? Certainly he was not satisfied with the first model, and probably not with the present.

This thread has gone on for a long time--reason does not seem to affect the outcome.

On taxes: The facts of human nature are that our actions and decisions determine our outcomes. The kid who grows up ignorant, neglects his schooling, spends his money on wine, women and song will end by serving those who study, live within their means, follow the rules of decent society and become well-to-do. That kid will likely be one of those who pay no taxes.

Some of the harder-working group will be extraordinarily successful and become part of the super rich. I do not see reason to tax them at rates greatly higher than the middle class, BUT I support the inheritance tax (with a high threshold) so that the children of the rich do not become a ruling class without earning their spurs.

As for those who pay nothing: I believe that anyone who lives off the welfare system should be deprived of the vote and should be required to perform some work to earn the bread they eat. I don't care if this work is no more than cleaning ditches, sweeping streets, building roads, breaking rocks--all work is honorable. Of course I would support the old, the lame, the mentally deranged--those who cannot work, but those who can, should.

How about we wait and see exactly what the charges are? I get the impression that some libtards are simply speculating.

We shall soon see. It will not be hard to trace the money, and the blackmailer will squeal rather than face blackmail charges.

Where is the "racist" term?

I see nothing but the discussion of a drug trial and sentence.

My opinion? The fellow should get 30-35 years as a lesson to would-be imitators. If he becomes a model prisoner he'll be paroled in ten.

would you bet $5 against the hole in a doughnut that KHHI has relatives who vote Democrat? Another $5 that he has relatives with a rap sheet? Still another that he has benefited from programs put forth by the Republican party?

Who in hell is relying on Noam Chomsky for intellectual enlightenment?

you might as well ask Stalin for economic advice.

As for the military/industrial complex; so long as we have it we will remain a free nation. When it is gone we go with it.

Control it as you would a junkyard dog, but keep it well fed and healthy.

My own opinion: Which hate groups are permitted to silence us, and which are not?

Any group that is permitted to rule by murder will eventually rule all unless brave men and women resist. The rabbi, good man though he may be, is wrong.

Geller's gathering, faintly odious, was a protest in defense of free speech, nothing more.
