You won't recognize me. My name was Antonio Santiago and I was the 13-month old child who was shot at point blank range by two teens who were attempting to rob... my mother, who was also shot. A Grand Jury of my mommy's peers from Brunswick GA determined the teens who murdered me will not face the death penalty...too bad I was given a death sentence for being innocent and defenseless.

My family made the mistake of being white in a 73% non-white neighborhood, but my murder was not ruled a Hate Crime. Nor did President Obama take so much as a single moment to acknowledge my murder.

I am one of the youngest murder victims in our great Nation's history, but the media doesn't care to cover the story of my tragic demise, President Obama has no children who could possibly look like me - so he doesn't care and the media doesn't care because my story is not interesting enough to bring them ratings so they can sell commercial time slots.

There is not a white equivalent of Al Sharpton because if there was he would be declared racist, so there is no one rushing to Brunswick GA to demand justice for me. There is no White Panther party to put a bounty on the lives of those who murdered me. I have no voice, I have no representation and unlike those who shot me in the face while I sat innocently in my stroller - I no longer have my life.

So while you are seeking justice for Treyvon, please remember to seek justice for me too. Tell your friends about me, tell you families, get tee shirts with my face on them and make the world pay attention, just like you did for Treyvon.

Al Sharpton's Biggest Cause: Himself
By Marta H. Mossburg
Friday, July 19, 2013

If anyone dies as a result of protests following the Zimmerman verdict, the Justice Department should charge Al Sharpton.

The self-anointed civil rights leader and talk show host has done everything but cry "fire!" in a crowded theatre to incite violence across the country both before and after the not guilty verdict of George Zimmerman in his trial for the second degree murder of 17-year old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla.

The man who marched to force a trial that never should have happened in the first place and is marching again because he can't accept the verdict never lets facts get in the way of his opinion, however. He compared Trayvon's death to Jesus' crucifixion and paints Zimmerman as a racist murderer whenever he's in front of a microphone showing he couldn't be bothered to examine the evidence.

Following the verdict on Friday he said on MSNBC, "Well, I think that this is an atrocity."

He added, "This is a sad day in the country. I think that we clearly must move on to the next step in terms of the federal government and in terms of the civil courts."

Bill: We are now on the Road to Serfdum -
Vampire Government Sucking out our Life
By Steve McCann

The current financial debacle in Europe and the near-bankrupt status of the United Sates have been brought about by an obsessive loyalty to statist doctrine and an inability to admit failure -- traits common to the left on both sides of the Atlantic.  The current dilemma is the end-product of decades of uncontrolled spending and economic policies promoted not to benefit the people in the long term, but to maintain the power base of the dominant governing class.  The path to insolvency taken by the countries of Europe and the United States has been on a parallel track.
Facts and reality matter little to the insufferable American left and are generally ignored if they do not support the left's contentions.  At that point, "creative" interpretation or outright denial takes over.  Economic statistics and discussions can often cause the eye of the average reader to glaze over or the listener to become confused by the terminology and incomprehensible numbers involved.  The so-called progressives rely on their ability to obfuscate and to mobilize greed and envy in order to justify and maintain their deceptions.
It is not just the astronomical increase in government spending that has impacted incomes and the standard of living.  The American left was determined also to rein in and control the private sector -- the left's designated villain.
To that end, the regulatory regime and the tax code have become a tool to bludgeon business and transform the economy.  In 1947, the tax code was less than 9,000 pages; today, it is over 72,000 pages.  In 1960, the Code of Federal Regulations totaled 22,800 pages; today, it is over 160,000 and expanding rapidly under the Obama regime.  It is estimated that the cost of compliance relative to the tax code and other regulations (which do not include state and local) exceeds $1,750 billion ($1.75 trillion), which further drains capital for the formation of jobs and businesses.

Writing about political power in 1787, Jefferson said to Continental Congressman Edward Carrington, "If once [the people] become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, Judges and Governors, shall all become wolves."

Folks: We are now on the river to Serfdom and I don’t think we can now turn the boat around!

The Family, you say? That creates a lot of need for social engineering if what I read this morning was right. That would be that 73% of black kids live in one parent families. I wonder what a father would do for so many of them.

No Social engineering oldroy! That worthless shit has gotten this country into the shape it is in! Family structure is where it's at, but with no Dads, mentors, but plenty of shitty role models - that structure has a price that the majority do not want to pay! Unfortunately we have lost two or three generations of minorities because of social engineering. Too many projects - checks - free rides without the foundations to complete the tasks - my problem is your problem mentality. I can go on and on. Unless these folks assimilate
and clean up their mess - it is going to get real nasty!

Blame the police for not making arrests. I don't have any bloodlust. You seem to be the one expressing all the anger. By the way,Trayvon was never suspended from school and stolen jewelry was not found in his locker. Where have you been getting this misinformation? By the way bahmer, I'm not black. I'm a white southern woman.

Sooz: I'm very angry - Hundreds of Black youth are dying every year in this country because of the lack or Bonding and Nurturing! The Black Family is broken - look at the crime stats. If this Travyon kid challenged you in that dark situation - he would probably broke you down like a shotgun!

While all the posters here seem to rile against Martin and his kind - (as do I), we would be remiss if we did not also applaud the blacks who are standing up against the punks.

I am surprised to see how many of the black guests on the likes of CNN have stood like humans and put out their opinions. Opinions which stand against the radical whites and blacks who are trying to make their socialist propaganda. Yes! It would be wrong not to temper our judgement against the punks with a "Thanks" to those blacks who are trying their best to live a honest and normal life.

By example; I am thinking about the two black boys who chased an abductor of a little Spanish baby girl on their bicycles for over fifteen minutes. Their actions saved that little girl. I am sure, every day there are many, many other examples we are not aware of.

Why are we not aware. Perhaps a big part of the blame can be put on the news media, which did not shine their armor during the Zimmerman trial, but also, the honest and good blacks who, for whatever reason do not also stand up and rile against their own clansman who deserve their disdain.

Do not read this post as a negative on the conservatives here. I stand with you. If you have read my many, many, posts on this topic then you know. I just do not want us to be seen as racist like the whites who are standing with the rioters in the street.

Hey, just my two cents worth. I suspect most here already agree with me.

There is no honesty, self and other unless it is taught in the
bonding and nurturing phase of human growth - The Family!

Agreed, Old Roy. I shouldn't have equated Republican/conservatives with education. I was thinking of the conservative establishment in the universities of the early 20th century. The left has taken the high ground there starting in the 40's and 50's, and hasn't let go since. (I think it has something to do with the flight of liberal-left academics to the US in WWII) I have my own academic horror stories from 1990 through 2001 when I finished my graduate program in the arts, a hornets nest of liberal hegemony.

But can we agree that conservatives DO engage in "social engineering" to the degree we are able? We all want to "remake" society or at least preserve what we think works from change, both forms of "engineering" society.

Young black men have perpetuated the "Zimmerman mindset". I doubt that the stats quoted in this article mean that everyone incarcerated or convicted was innocent of charges brought. Of course, these stats can be chalked up to the "unfair advantage" that whites have over blacks with regard to the education system and discrimination in hiring practices. NOT.

Snow Bear - This terrible trend will only continue. These young black men have failed or missed out on a bonding and nurturing secession with a fellow human being.
Most of them are out to take advantage of society and cause problems. They were never raised to assimilate in this society.

Do you think my children would have played out that tragedy? No! They have respect
for authority. They would have listened to the HOA captain or just ran away back to their parents.

And unless I am mistaken, this is an Alinsky ploy, a communist ploy - insist a cesspool is a lovely pond and eventually everyone accepts that it is. It is how political correctness got started. It is how hate crime legislation came to be passed. It is how everything bad that gets passed, does get passed.

BTW, I disagree with one of your revisions: I think politicians want to be called "GODS", not public servants. :P

Alinsky is getting too much credit - he was educated my many much closer to the Devil himself!

So, what can we look forward to as a result of the trial Zimmerman had to endure (and win)

State Attorney Angela Corey will most likely be roasted in the Zimmerman trial. If convicted of the crime of withholding evidence during the discovery process (and it appears she did) then she, and the state could also be open to a civil lawsuit which could cost her a bundle. She could lose her political job and even be sent off to prison. She will at the least be roasted in the media and any reputation left, torn asunder by public opinion. She might even have to go into hiding.

NBC will most likely settle their legal problems with Zimmerman out of court. It could well go into the millions.

The city of Sanford and it's elected leaders are also open to civil, and potentially federal and state criminal charges resulting from their leaders actions. These suits could also top out over a million.

The city of Sanford police department is open to civil lawsuits from the past police chief and lead investigator. It is also possible the FOP could bring both civil and criminal lawsuits on the behalf of all law enforcement since it is obvious the chief and investigator, were fired and demoted because of their investigation and unwillingness to up the charges against Zimmerman for political reasons alone.

The Martin family are all open to civil lawsuits. Their initial public appearances and radical statements opened them up to litigation.

Then there is the small of brain large of mouth actor "Spike Lee" has already settled out of court for running his mouth without thinking when he turned the entire state of Florida on the wrong George Zimmerman, blasting out the home address of an unsuspecting elderly couple who had no idea what hit them.

George Zimmerman? He can seek and get immunity from civil charges -- delineated in the "Stand your ground" laws. This leaves him a rich man with little chance of losing his rewards or having to endure the time and cost of defending himself from those who prosecuted him for political reasons.

SUMMARY:Many things will most likely happen over time.

A lot of political players are going to lose a lot of money. It will go to Zimmerman and his lawyers.

A lot of political players will lose their reputations and even their jobs.

A lesson will be taught which should scare the heck out of the next group of twits who wants to take on the "stand your ground" laws in court for political gain.

A lesson has been given that everyone in Florida (and other states) can count on their inalienable rights to self defense.

A lesson has been given to the responsible adults of teenagers that they had better get hold of them and settle them down, else they may get shot.

While liberal news media will keep their voices raised as the country discusses this travesty of justice. It will continue to encourage growth of common sense defense laws in state legislatures around the country. I predict even more freedoms will be granted to everyday, honest citizens who are fed up with little wannabe tyrants who only understand political correctness.

So. Thank you George Zimmerman for the help you have provided the good people of Florida, indeed around the country.
So, what can we look forward to as a result of the... (show quote)

Great on the money article!

Since our inception, we've aspired to remain a nation of laws, not of men.
For that to be true, however, our laws must be of sufficient clarity that we can understand them and guide our conduct accordingly. Otherwise, the rule of law dissipates, and the tyranny of bureaucrats expands.
If a law is too large to even be read, it is presumably too large to be understood, much less effectively and justly applied.

Robert Frost was asked at his 80th birthday party what he had learned in those 80 years about life itself. He answered, “I can tell you in three words:

Yeah, but if they admit that they would have to admit all the mistakes they have made in that period.

Actually, they have had to work with a number of Republican Presidents in that period. Like the Congress was controlled by Dems in the last 6 years of Eisenhower and look at all the spending he managed to do.

It is very right that they have controlled the Congress but not so much the Executive branch.
