How about New York City lying for years. Register all your long guns just so you can be legal.
Recently the NYC Police Department sent out letters demanding that everyone who owns a long gun that can hold more than five shells must be turned in, moved out of state or professionally altered.
What it means is EVERY long gun weapon (except very large caliber) holds more than five rounds and therefore they are illegal.
Boils down to blanket confiscation don't you think?
