I have spent a lot of time in Brooklyn and have enjoyed it very much. Manhattan is a bit much, I'm guessing, as far as it being a great place to live. It is the congestion more than anything else. New York is one of the worlds greatest cities. If it is not for you or if you feel that it is not for you, stay where you are. You will either not like it or be overwhelmed. Either way you will probably go home anyway.

I live rurally. The thought of living in a big city/any big city, (and yes at one time, for many years I did live in a big city)...which is why rural life appeals to me.

I live near the Finger Lakes (Canandaigua) in central upstate NY, and after all my days living and traveling around the US, upstate NY has some of the most beautiful scenery in this country. Upstate Maine and Vermont, too.

And I agree with you 100% - after settling down here, I would not want to move to any other part of the country again. The pacific northwest is comparable topography-wise, but the people were more anxious and uptight there, in my experience.

Wow Emily. I know I don't want to live in New York City. I have always heard what a difference the rest of the state is.

Ultimately left wing ideology leads to mass murder….every single time.

And here in America, (where we spent decades/enormous amount of precious personnel/monetary treasure fighting Left-Wing regimes all over the world)...the American-Left/Democrat-Communist Party (oh yes it is) wants to install the same, (with a few minor variations to appease the useful idiots), fails-every-time-it's-tried system right here..."fundamental transformation". The unmitigated gall of deceitful/smug/power hungry Leftists, whose "Core Beliefs" have always been/still are:
False Accusations
False Imprisonments
State Sanctioned Torture
State Sanctioned Murder
trying to feign some kind of moral superiority while attempting to establish a deceitful/false narrative, in an effort to undermine the truth. We ALL need to remember 150 MILLION DEAD, (and counting---because Leftists NEVER stop murdering)...at the hands of their own LEFT-WING Governments. And THAT is the goal of the Left here/everywhere, (you should be able to tell by the growing body count)...open season, (if not outright killed-imprisoned/tortured/endlessly/falsely charged)...literally on any who would dare to dissent/disagree (the very hallmark of our nation)...and stand up for individual liberty/freedom of speech...the foundations of this country. And yet there are those who deny history/refuse to see what is right in front of them...or fully know history and want that evil power...that in the end always turns on them.

Why it's called a Sportsman's Paradise
South Louisiana, home to an environment unlike any other, is not called the "Sportsman's Paradise" for nothing.
The state is replete with fish and wildlife as diverse as the people who cross the state line to seek them out.
Here, there is no shortage of local residents with knowledge of the area ready to take outsiders to the best in hunting and fishing that the region has to offer.
Dozens of charter-fishing businesses are available and the nearby barrier island of Grand Isle has guides who are only too happy to take visitors out for their first or 50th excursion into the wetlands or the Gulf of Mexico.

More than any other area locally, Grand Isle is known for its world-class fishing and the multitude of fishing rodeos it hosts throughout the summer months, a seasonal source of income for island residents and others. The world famous Grand Isle International Tarpon Rodeo helps to bring more than 10,000 visitors during the summer, many seeking the sometimes elusive tarpon.
But fishing isn't the only recreational offering available in the area.

From November to January, some of the state's best hunting opportunities become available. And there's plenty of waterfowl to be had -- like green-and-blue-wing teal, mallard, pintail, redhead and canvas-back ducks, geese -- as well as deer and other game.
Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes are also home to a few managed-wildlife areas.
In southern Lafourche, the Wisner Wildlife Management Area, owned by the Edward Wisner Donation Advisory Committee, encompasses about 21,000 acres and lies about 12 miles south of Leeville. It's mostly salt marsh surrounded by open water with numerous bayous and channels -- an environment ideal for boating, bird watching, crabbing, and shrimping.
Rabbits, waterfowl, rails, snipe, nutria muskrat, mink, raccoon and otter are also hunted there, according to the state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. And it's a prime spot for speckled trout, red fish, flounder, black drum, sheepshead and croaker. For information, call 594-5494.

In neighboring Terrebonne, the Mandalay National Wildlife Refuge, operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, offers about 4,200 acres for fishing as well as waterfowl, hog, and deer hunting.
Located about 5 miles southwest of Houma, it's also a good place for wildlife viewing and photography. The creatures that make their home there include alligators, wading birds, ducks, and bald eagles.
Like other wildlife areas, it's only accessible by boat. For more information on fishing and hunting regulations on the federally operated wildlife refuge, visit http://southeast.fws.gpv/mandalay.

The Pointe-aux-Chenes Wildlife Management Agency, owned by the state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, is located straddles Terrebonne and Lafourche and is about 15 miles southeast of Houma. It encompasses more than 35,000 acres available for limited recreational opportunities.
The department holds annual lottery hunts so physically-challenged hunters can hunt waterfowl and youngsters and hunt deer.
For recreational fishermen, inland saltwater species, crabs and shrimp (which may only be caught with a cast net) are available. Freshwater fish can also be caught in the northern portions.
The area is also a good spot to boating, study nature, camp and picnic. A camp ground, for tents only, is available too.
For information, call 985-594-5494.

JackHoff666, leftist communist Democrat judges blocked all lawsuits for lack of "standing", whatever that means. The Fix was in.

Yes indeed the courts refused to hear Trump's/71 million Americans' concerns/suit over the 2020 election. Of course, Democrat-Communist Al Gore denied his election loss results and the SC did agree to hear his suit...he still lost. For the courts to abdicate their responsibilities/refuse to hear the/any evidence/settle the issue, pretty much shows the "fix was indeed in".

Nor do I believe PR is paid to post anything. Perhaps that is usual for Leftists, (a lot of the time what Leftists accuse others of, is what they themselves actually do)...maybe they assume because they do it, everyone else does too. These back-handed insults...no wonder PR needs a break.

If you leave, they win.

It helps to take breaks, though. I've done it a few times, and it does give you a time to reflect on the hatred and maybe a little more clarity on how you can deal with it - ignore the ones who make you feel like you want to quit. There are three or four on here that I vowed a while ago not to respond to, and although I've broken that promise a few times, I did it due to a gross insult and hurtful words that were thrown at someone I care about. I have seen you do the same, so I am here to support you now!! 🙂👍

Take a break and get some fresh air, breathe it in deep and then come back and help us keep the truth going! We need your strength!
