Penalties and Deterrence of Unlawful Collusion! Asked and answered!

http://www.cresse.info/uploadfiles/Deterrence_11.14.13.pdf

From your link having to do with a theory to deter collusion having to do with antitrust law violations.

”A second common formula is for the penalty attributed to a particular period to be proportional to some measure of either the gain to colluding firms or the harm to cus- tomers. In the U.S., the standard formula for customer damages is  ≡ ¡  −   ¢  where  and  are the collusive price and quantity, respectively, and  is the but-for or counterfactual price; that is, the price that would have occurred but for collusion (which is typically taken to be the static Nash equilibrium price). If firms are found guilty by a court of law then they are obligated to pay triple the amount of calculated damages though, in practice, a very high fraction of cases are settled out of court and damages are probably more on the order of single rather than treble (Lande, 1993). In some jurisdictions, government fines follow a similar calculation. For the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Sentencing Guidelines referred to in the Antitrust Division Manual (July 2013) state: "[T]he defendant may be fined not more than the greater of twice the gross gain or twice the gross loss." Thus, U.S. fines can be as high as double damages, while government fines in Australia and Germany allow for up to treble damages.”

Lmao!!! First of all, I know you didn’t read this, there are too many big words for you. Second, this has to do with antitrust law. Nowhere does it define a penalty for “collusion”. Unless of course you’re now trying to say President Trump is being investigated for antitrust law violations.

Try again. You haven’t answered a simple direct question. Show me the U.S. code determining “collusion” is against the law, and what the punishment is for violation. You should let your parade come to an end, Fool.

Well to wake up to the Trump teeets, I have really come to the realization that there is no low point as to where Trump will go. It’s clear all Trump wants to do is continue to divide this country and use his 32% base that lack any kind of empathy. It sickens me this country has elected such an embarrassment.

A few weeks back the 2nd largest terror attack 58 people killed 480 injured and when Trump was questioned about this attack his answer was now is not the time to talk about the gun couture in this country. But his thoughts and prayers go out to the NRA support for more deregulation not the victims. Because Trump is incapable of empathy and could care less.

But the attack in NY less than 24 hours later now I guess it’s appropriate to talk but it’s not talk there tweets and there lie’s all to politicize his agenda. Has anybody heard thoughts and prayers right on the attack.

Today less than 24 hours is time to talk/Tweet and he could not wait to get his lies out.

Trump Tweets
(THE TERROREST CAME INTO THIS COUNTRY THROUGH WHAT IS CALLED THE DIVERSITY VISA LOTTERY PROGRAM, A CHUCK SHUMER BEAUTY) no empathy for attacks

( WE ARE FIGHTING HARD FOR A MERIT BASED IMMIGRATION ( NO MORE DEMOCRATIC LOTTER SUSTEM) this is a flat out lie. I remember and very little has been said about this so called merit system. Trump was asked what’s in the merit based system his answer was it’s a great, great, great plan I will get back to you in a couple of weeks.

Next Trump tweet
(SENATOR CHUCK SHUMER HELPING TO IMPORT EUROPES PROBLEMS AS STATED BY COL. TO Y SHAFFER ON FOX AND FRIENDS) here he is getting his garbage from Fox And Friends.

Trumps tweets are a clear and blatant lie he is clearly out of touch and he gets his inaccurate information from the master of misinformation Fox News.

The lottery program blamed on Shumar was a bi-partisan program signed into law by a Republican President. The diversity Visa Lottery Program passed the House by 264 votes and the senate with 89 votes. (WAS SIGNED INTO LAW BY GEORGE H.W. BUSH) in 1990 I think he was a Republican not sure got to check in with Fox And Friends.

Trump now it’s (NOT MY FAULT PRESIDENT) it’s always someone else’s fault. No empathy no thoughts and prayers, no this is not the time to discuss just send out a blatant lie and blame democrats and Shumar based on his agenda team at Fox And Friends.

We expect our president to lead, pull this country together, shows some compassion for the victims but all this embarrassment of a President is capable of is making excuses watching Fox And Friends And Tweet a blatant lie. Well at least he did not come up with a conspiracy theory to blame Clinton.

58 people dead no attempt at blame but say now is not the time to discuss. NY attack watch Fox And Friends get his talking point to feed his base and blame Shumar for a Republican Visa latterly program. What an embarrassment and a a disgrace to every president that held that office.

But did Fox And Friends every mention what’s part of the Trump budget will virtually wipe out the entire program that funds the anti terror program. Trump is a anti terrorism fraud. Like I keep saying Trump supporters refuse to read legislation or the Trump budget just listen to Fox And Friends.

Trumps approach is flawed it is also dangerous because our biggest problem that Trump ignores with his his decision to cut anti terror program fundin in this country is the prospect of Home Grown radicals. Which is our biggest problem every terror attack since 9/11 have been home grown. One attack from one person who came to this country under the Republican lottery program in 2010 was self radicalized while in this country Trump wants to defund the program and blame democrats.

I want to ask Trump supporters one thing have you ever read the lottery program and the qualification to get into the lottery and then read the merit based system that Trump wants. The answer is no Trump supporters don’t read legislation they get there info from Trump tweets and Trump gets his info from 3 idiots on a couch with Fox And Friends.
Well to wake up to the Trump teeets, I have really... (show quote)

Don’t worry, Tommy. Trump is going to get rid of this lottery program. Nobody will be allowed here just because someone picked their name out of a hat. MAGA, one step at a time...

And now he heads to the East for meetings with our allies who he probably will offend and along with 3 carrier battle groups will present a target for a simple NK missile demonstration that will cause the cowardly Pissident to cut and run. Not only that, but, will unshroad our anti- missile deficiencies that have cost over $100 billion and is a paper tiger.

Lol, no. I dressed up as a G.O.A.T. I thought about dressing up as #4 for the Texans, but I probably would have been egged due to his performance this past Sunday.

As a child growing up, I was always told that my maternal grandfather passed away before I was born, until recently when my sister-in-law came across a photo which she sent me. I will attach it at the bottom.

He was a frogman€ during the war, having the duty of disarming those nasty underwater mines. The stories I heard, he was one of the best. When he returned, his job was that of a blacksmith and carpenter. In fact, he and a neighbor built the house my mother grew up in. Making sure he had a nice space in the basement to work. I remember when visiting my grandmother, always going down there to check out the cool tools he had, you name it, he probably had it. One time, I came upstairs to ask my grandmother what one thing in particular was. Turns out it was an old chalk line reel, which she told me I could keep. I ended up using it as my first fishing rod, more of drop line. I held on to it for most of my life, until it went missing when I sold my old house and moved to my new one. Whenever I would come up from that basement I would notice the words Kilroy was here scrawled on the underneath of the stairs. I asked my grandmother who Kilroy was, she told me it was a long story, and one for another time. I did not find out until I was a teenager, when my dad took me to the Quincy Shipyard. I thought it was an awesome story back then, and just wanted to thank you for the trip down memory lane.

He passed away not long after this photo.

This was sent to me by a friend in my part of Texas. With Veteran's Day approaching, I thought I would put it up early for the WWII Vets.

HERE IS A BRUSH UP COURSE ON THE SAYING 'KILROY WAS HERE"

He is engraved in stone in the National War Memorial in Washington, DC, - back in a small alcove where very few people have seen it. For the WWII generation, this will bring back memories. For you younger folks, it's a bit of trivia that is a part of our American history. Anyone born in 1913 to about 1950, is familiar with Kilroy. No one knew why he was so well known - but everybody seemed to get into it.

So who was Kilroy?

In 1946 the American Transit Association, through its radio program, "Speak to America ," sponsored a nationwide contest to find the real Kilroy, offering a prize of a real trolley car to the person who could prove himself to be the genuine article. Almost 40 men stepped forward to make that claim, but only James Kilroy from Halifax , Massachusetts , had evidence of his identity.

'Kilroy' was a 46-year old shipyard worker during the war who worked as a checker at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy. His job was to go around and check on the number of rivets completed. Riveters were on piecework and got paid by the rivet. He would count a block of rivets and put a check mark in semi-waxed lumber chalk, so the rivets wouldn't be counted twice. When Kilroy went off duty, the riveters would erase the mark.

Later on, an off-shift inspector would come through and count the rivets a second time, resulting in double pay for the riveters.

One day Kilroy's boss called him into his office. The foreman was upset about all the wages being paid to riveters, and asked him to investigate. It was then he realized what had been going on. The tight spaces he had to crawl in to check the rivets didn't lend themselves to lugging around a paint can and brush, so Kilroy decided to stick with the waxy chalk. He continued to put his check mark on each job he inspected, but added 'KILROY WAS HERE' in king-sized letters next to the check, and eventually added the sketch of the chap with the long nose peering over the fence and that became part of the Kilroy message.

Once he did that, the riveters stopped trying to wipe away his marks. Ordinarily the rivets and chalk marks would have been covered up with paint. With the war on, however, ships were leaving the Quincy Yard so fast that there wasn't time to paint them. As a result, Kilroy's inspection "trademark" was seen by thousands of servicemen who boarded the troopships the yard produced

His message apparently rang a bell with the servicemen, because they picked it up and spread it all over Europe and the South Pacific.

Before war's end, "Kilroy" had been here, there, and everywhere on the long hauls to Berlin and Tokyo. To the troops outbound in those ships, however, he was a complete mystery; all they knew for sure was that someone named Kilroy had "been there first" As a joke, U.S. servicemen began placing the graffiti wherever they landed, claiming it was already there when they arrived.

Kilroy became the U.S. super-GI who had always "already been" wherever GIs went. It became a challenge to place the logo in the most unlikely places imaginable (it is said to be atop Mt. Everest, the Statue of Liberty, the underside of the Arc de Triomphe, and even scrawled in the dust on the moon.

As the war went on, the legend grew. Underwater demolition teams routinely sneaked ashore on Japanese-held islands in the Pacific to map the terrain for coming invasions by U.S. troops (and thus, presumably, were = the first GIs there). On one occasion, however, they reported seeing enemy troops painting over the Kilroy logo!

In 1945, an outhouse was built for the exclusive use of Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill at the Potsdam conference. Its' first occupant was Stalin, who emerged and asked his aide (in Russian), "Who is Kilroy?" To help prove his authenticity in 1946, James Kilroy brought along officials from the shipyard and some of the riveters. He won the trolley car, which he gave to his nine children as a Christmas gift and set it up as a playhouse in the Kilroy yard in Halifax, Massachusetts .
