The usual weasely dodge-the-issue response. If he called for a “peaceful, patriotic” approach it was drowned out by the rest of his inciting language and that’s what the mob responded to as he knew they would.
If he really wanted it to be peaceful why did he go back to the White House and chortle at the spectacle of mayhem and criminality on TV for more than 3 hours before finally calling for the rioters to disperse? Truth is his sick little mind and his malnourished ego just lapped up what he had caused.
I would prefer for Trump to just gracefully retire from the limelight and let it go at that,
no prosecution necessary, but like a pig with its head stuck in a fence he just keeps pushing and making it worse for himself every day. This will not end well...

Peace of mind is the key. Middle class people in these countries don’t wake up in the middle of the night to stare at the ceiling and pray you and your family don’t get seriously sick or seriously injured like they do in America. It’s about quality of life, something fleeting in this country...

You don’t mention all the Republicans that have called bullshit on the rigged election hoax, including Trumps handpicked AG Bill Barr. Trump has a certain art of selling snake oil to gullible folks with a generalized grievance against the world they live in but feral cunning should not be misperceived as genius. Jan 6 was made up of mostly angry white men who came to the rally armed with bear mace, sharpened poles, bundles of zip ties and a makeshift gibbet to hang government officials. It is beyond a stretch in credibility to suggest this was anything other than a hysterical lynchmob out to commit mayhem and a person they perceived as their leader gave his tacit approval by his choice of angry stirring emotional language.

Having lived for extended periods in the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand, all of which have hybrid-public option/private health care systems, they make the American system look third world.
In America the wealthy can get great health care on demand with some of the best medical technology but for everyone else including most of the middle class it’s a patchwork quilt of state and private care with varying degrees of access and affordability, but always accompanied by a mind numbing pile of paperwork and “procedures”.
If you fall ill or are involved in an accident in the aforementioned western countries the only question you are likely to be asked by first responders is “do you know your blood type”.Follow up care and hospitalization is generally free but if you can afford it you can opt for a private plan that operates alongside the public option.
America could do this by expanding Medicare into a public option which means all the “anti-socialists” can keep their mishmash pay-as-you-go American system and leave the rest of us alone.
But this would be wayyyy too sensible ....
