I'll be damned if I can understand why someone should have the right to demand an excessively high minimum wage, to do work a high school kid could do. And if he did, he probably paid his way through school and earns a wage above minimum now, because that is what he earns and is worth. Oh, and I can make my own sandwich.
You are only worth the wage your labor creates in profit or convenience or needs for whomever you work for. If the government forces those that might employ you to pay you more then your labor is worth, they will quit using your labor and find other means, or charge more for their product, increasing their chances of going out of business, and keeping you unemployed instead of employed for what your labor is worth. A government that forces these rules of excessively high minimum wages is a government that is stealing from the employers to give to the employees, usually for votes and political power over the employers and the employed. This only increases the downward spiral of that countries abilities of its people, along with its wealth, potential, freedom, power and potential to improve its standing in the world.
We are in that downward spiral, led by the likes of California, democrats, and biden and all of those self seeking, mainly leftist politicians. They are leading you all to hell. I hope you leftists enjoy the ride.

People who are not paid a living wage become dependent on the state, taxpayers make up the difference in wages. If a company is unable to pay their employees enough to live out of poverty they have no business being in business. I would rather pay someone on welfare to care for their family than subsidize impoverished employees for giant wealthy corporations like Walmart and McDonald’s
