Correct me if you will, but the peace keeping force in Korea is mostly American and more and more South Korean. If you do the same in Palestine, US troops and Israelis would do the patrolling. How do you keep Israelis and Palestinians apart in that case.
Plus the US is committed to defending South Korea. I doubt in the wake of Obama's abandonment of US friends in Iraq and Afghanistan that the Israelis would trust Obama.
