Wow, Anonymous. What a scary graph. And the end quote of the narrator was: "The reality in this country is not at all what we think it is."
Now ain't that the truth!
What wealth was he measuring? "The top 1% owns 50% of all the bonds and mutual funds." "And the total worth of the nation is $54 trillion."
"Bonds and Mutual Funds" ? Oh, your 401K plan? What about the rest of the wealth he did not include on these graphs?
He forgot to tell you he was only tallying the Stock Market, (mostly invested in the Fortune 500), not the total assets of the American economy which covers 22 million proprietorships (that's small businesses), plus private property, houses, farms, land, cars, boats, etc., which equals the other 75% of the US economy not counted or even mentioned on your YouTube drama!
For better figures on the US economy, please review the John Rutledge Report.
http://rutledgecapital.com/2009/05/24/total-assets-of-the-us-economy-188-trillion-134xgdp/Total Assets of the U.S. Economy $188 Trillion, 13.4xGDP by John Rutledge
Of course, this report is a little outdated, 2008, before the Democrats got hold of the economy and dumped Obamacare on small businesses.
The annual GDP is only $15 today; the total net ASSETS of the US economy equals about $200 Trillion, not including Federal lands, (worth a quadrillion). Wall Street represents only represents $54 Trillion, according to the YouTube graphs. That's $54 trillion out of $200 trillion in US assets, plus another unmentioned QUADRILLION dollars owned in Federal Lands.
In other words, Wall Street financial investments = 25% of the wealth and the other 75% of the economy rests with the other 22 million proprietorships and personal assets.
The greatest wealth lay in the untapped resources under government land holdings, where the Bureau of Land Management holds 50% of all US lands. Nobody is even talking about the BLM holdings! That is socialism.
That's where the wealth is, some quadrillion dollars in federal lands that should be returned to the states for better management, and this is not the national parks.
If you want to get rich:
1) Iinvest your spare change in the stock market instead of in booze and dope.
2) Start up your own business.
3) Turn off the inflation machine, the Federal Reserve Bank funny money press that keeps devaluing the buying power of your dollar.
4) Cut government spending by passing the Balanced Budget Amendment.
5) Return Federal lands to the States for better management.
6) Vote the Democrats out of office.
Oh, the greed and envy card is being played by the commies once again. Good Grief!
Grow up guys, and get educated. My blood is boiling. These Democrats are lying to us.
