I am not a hunter and I do not own a gun but I couldn't agree more...

I had never thought about this...A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:

There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin…Allow me to restate that number: 600,000!

Over the last several months, Wisconsin's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world…more men under arms than in Iran. More than France and Germany combined.

These men deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin, to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed. That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan's 700,000 hunters, all of whom returned home safely. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states. It's millions more.

The point?

America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower. Hunting...it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security. That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.

Food for thought when next we consider gun control. Overall it's true, so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters don't possess the same skills as soldiers, the question would still remain...What army of 2 million would want to face 30, 40, 50 million armed citizens?

For the sake of our freedom, don't ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns.

AMEN!!! I was raised around hunting and guns. My dad has always belonged to a hunting club, and just about every season he will take down one or two deer, some of it goes in his freezer, but a large portion is given to families in his church who NEED that deer meat. He has taught me how to handle guns safely, and I own several. Every so often, we will sit down together and clean our various firearms and then go practice shooting. Then we'll clean them again. I always feel closer to him and learn something from him each time we get to spend this time together. Some how, as I've gotten older, my dad has gotten smarter and sweeter.

This is the #1 reason our forefathers created the Second Amendment. To insure the security of the country "from all enemies, foreign and domestic". The last being a corrupt, illegitimate and illegal Democratic controlled Administration. The Constitution also says that the Government can not bring the federal troops in against its own citizens. But, with this President and his band of malcontents, ANYTHING is possible. With that being said, as a 20 + year active duty Army veteran, I truly do not believe this would or could happen, just because the men and women in the service would take control over it before the President ever had time to try it.

That could be a possibility-with the American people not having the support of the Armed forces, POTUS would have the ATF, DHS, and the other puppet quasi-military groups to do his bidding. AG Holder is the giant "turd" in the Obama pile that is the real question mark. How far is he willing to push the American citizenry to accomplish BO's ultimate of an Islamic based America?I, for one, will not sit idly by and watch America destroyed by this influx of "Socialist-Islamic views". If/when push comes to shove, I will pick up arms to defend my homeland from the "enemy within"!

Just keep your powder dry, your guns oiled and your "survival pack ready to go in case the SHTF! People think I am just a "crazy vet" who doesn't know a damn thing. Well, I have my "stockpiles" ready and am more than eager to "take the fight to the enemy"! Stay vigilant, keep preparing for "war" and don't trust ANYONE!!
