Jeez dude,,,, I guess someone needs to explain it for you....

So,,, here is the readers digest version....

the states join the federal plan and expand Medicaid,,, by doing so the Feds promise to increase federal funding by 30-40% of that states 2016 baseline,,,, that is a lot of money, considering how many people "might" sign up...

Those "extra" funds have to come from somewhere, so the taxes are written in to the ACA to expand automatically,, for instance, I have found out through my tax advisor, that selling my house this year, will cost me between 5 and 15% base on my yearly income,,,, and of course the capital gains went up,, for me,,,, regardless of what you think or what Obama promised,,, I actually had a decrease in pay this year by $20K,,,, and my taxes still went up...

Remember, Dr Gruber????? It was a lie and a tax scheme,,,
Remember the Chief Justice, who corrected the law so that it was a "Tax" so that the president could sign it under his authority???

My public utility bill went up last year a full 33%,,,, my taxes went up an additional 6%,,,

Now,,, there are two other problems laying in wait, that will cause some major costs,,,, one is the federal funds going to states who "DIDNT" sign on to the Feds exchange plan,, and still GOT the plus up in funds,,,,, and those who did sign up and didn't,,,, that is unfair,,,, either way, we are going to get the bill as the American taxpayer,,,either for the reimbursement of moneys paid out in error, or that we will have to give it to the states who didn't sign up for the exchanges too.... either way, we are going to see increases in spending,,, which according to a genius like Alicia, is coming right out of the 1%'s pockets,, YEAAAAHH OBAMMMAAAA!!!!

Except the rich have gotten much richer under Obama,,,, and the poor much poorer,,, remember Grubers instruction and moment of truth telling...

President Obama admits the rich got richer under his watch
https://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=mcafee&type=B011US0D20140109&p=the+rich+got+richer+under+obama

Now he is smart,, and frankly I actually think you are too,,, but you are idealistic,,, as well,,,, and I really hate that you were lied to ,,, and for you to find out that you have been had....

What I really hate, is that I knew it all along, and no one could dissuade you, and people who think like you, and now we are all screwed..

Next,,, and this isn't anecdotal, my daughter,, signed up for Obamacare,,,got a subsidy,,, and everything was great, she gloated and like you lefties here, made it clear that I was an old fool..... well..... her husband got a little raise last year,,,,, and he went over the line,,,in wages, and they lost the subsidy..

So,,,, she HAD a $6000 refund coming,,,, but the IRS recouped the subsidy immediately,,, $1500 off the top.... she now has a $4500 refund,,,,, then she gets the news that her coverage necessarily changed too,,, family of 4 with preexisting conditions,, and a $1500 per person deductible,,,,,

They got back ALL the tax refund,,,, and she has to save $1500 extra to make the bills be covered by the ACA's insurance...

It was all about money kid,,,,, sorry... it wasn't about healthcare... gruber was right, it was a lie...

And the costs keep coming and coming and coming,, seemingly unrelated,,,, but they are all in that bill...

The reason the SCOTUS is looking at it now is because Obama and company are selectively enforcing stipulations of the law, changing the law when they want to, and making it up if they want to,,, and that is not a presidents ability to do,,, congress makes laws, Obama is supposed to enforce them, not re-write them for blacks, or illegals, or islamics, or whomever he is paying off today...

Yes, taxes exist. And....? What does that have to do with the origional post? Any state taxes would have been imposed by state governments, and thus were not part of the Affordable Care Act.

And please explain what that has to do with the topic of the thread instead of attempting to move the goal posts.

I responded point by point to the OP. EVERY claim was untrue.

Please explain how the State Estate taxes are related to Obama and/or the ACA which was the claim being made in the

Me...... my taxes went up, even though my wages went down by 20K.... my utilities went up a full 33%... and the sales of my property are going to be taxed higher for capital gains, as well as a tax on real estate sales,, which jumped right over that 250K limit that nobody but nobody will hit....sell a house and you will...

HL, Thanks for researching these laws. It seems that those who are complaining are not even touched by them. Most of the taxes seem to be directed at the top 1% but I doubt any of them are participating in this forum. It was President Obama's designed to get these individuals to pay what they should have been paying initially (without the loopholes afforded them by the Right) It's time they should be paying their fair share. I do resent their "secret" accounts outside of this country exactly to avoid paying their share even though they are making money here. I do doubt their patriotism and, if any, it is they who should be considered as committing treason. It is for this reason certain politicians in their run for office were backed. Their votes were paid for so they have no decisions to really make.

These people are not thinking but only parroting their party's propaganda. I ask, how many on this forum were even touched by these tax increases? I doubt the intelligent reasoning they follow for it seems that they do not reason.

Damn it, Grace, did you read that post or did you just think that it is ok to take money from all the wealthy people?

My wife and I are on Social Security along with State retirement programs and yet we will be hit by most of that crap. Her dad is 97 and will likely be gone in a few months. Just think, all his wealth will be 55% Obama's since he can't leave it to us.

We do own very small amounts of corporate things that will cost us again.

I hope you paid attention to what was told you in that first post.

Yep. I read it. Like you, I am on social security and a state retirement.
I don't object to paying taxes EXCEPT on my social security. That tax irritates me. If your father in-law has a large enough estate to pay 55% in taxes, good for him and for whoever inherits what is left of it.

Most of those taxes have been in place before and we.have ultimately prospered anyway.
Those in business know that investment in their growth isn't taxable, only profits and income are taxed.
There's plenty of shelters that can be used that defer or eliminate taxation.
The fact is there's a huge gap between the 1%ers, the 10%ers,etc and the Joe that works hand to mouth. There has to be a greater tax on the wealthy to elevate poorer people into a comfortable existence.
These days, earners making $150-200K are considered middle class. They think nothing of dropping 10k on a vacation or other dalliances.
When stock trading you only pay tax on the sale or a dividend.
The rich are still getting richer.
The key to being happily rich is to give your money away to those that have little or no tax liability. This way everyone wins, and fack the.government .

Your changing the topic won't erase that.

The only medicare tax that went up happened two years ago and ONLY if you and your spouse make over $250,000.

I'm really not interested in your anecdotal stories because you lack verisimilitude ... to put it politely.

Whatever you're paying in estate taxes, it has nothing to do with Obama or the ACA.

Why did SS start taking more out of my SS check because of Medicare? You don't really know, do you?

Why are those things listed as Obamacare taxes from the beginning? I guess only conservatives read any of those things from the beginning. I have seen those taxes listed from the beginning of Obamacare coming into existence. It must be that right leaners get all those lies from somewhere and left leaners just don't find them to be part of the taxes that led the Chief Justice to call Obamacare a tax law.

You just suggested that redistribution is an excellent thing to have happen and I do not agree with any of that. Taking from the rich to give to the poor is something that I just don'e like,

The old man took care of the government getting their hands in his pockets some years ago, by creating a trust that keeps his property in our hands. It is the number of IRAs he has that would bring much money into our hands and we don't know how much he has or how many places.

It does piss me off a bunch to have to pay taxes on SS money. We pay income taxes on it and then they take out nearly 10% from my SS money to use on Medicare. I paid on that one, Medicare for the whole time it was in effect in 1965 and am still paying on it.

The thing about SS that really makes me mad is them calling it a form of welfare. Horace chit I never did see that till Obama got in office.

The thing about all of this is that the old man worked his butt off from the end of WW II never buying anything he couldn't pay cash for and now they want to take back as much as they can. I call these Obamacare taxes nothing but a huge part of Obama's redistribution of the wealth.

Every single claim in the OP is inaccurate at BEST, and that's the polite way of putting it.
