You ever notice that Obama's face is in the news every single day and night? Whether it is news or not? Every single thing that he does here in the US or in another country is "Historical," a Record? I still don't understand what the Nobel Peace Prize for him was all about. Wasn't it something to do with keeping peace around the world? Does that include Obama wanting to place America's military in the middle of Syria's own conflict? American's to their Republican Senators state they do not want Obamacare forced on them, yet Obama states You Will Have It. What's up with that? Someone want to try to put a dent in these questions?

1. Obama is on TV a lot because he is president of the U.S. which makes him a world leader.
2. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 for his efforts in nuclear nonproliferation and reaching out the the Muslim world. You may have noticed the he typically does not respond immediately to crises situations with cowboy like ultimatums. Sometimes it seems like he is playing chess while the rest of the world is playing checkers.
3. His record:
Ended the Iraq war.
Winding down the Afghanistan war.
He has taken out many terrorist leaders without starting new wars.
Got rid of Gaddafi without a war.
Scarred Syria into giving up chemical weapons and even got Russia to participate. (playing chess in a checker game)
4. Obama Care has a lot of good things in it:
Insurance companies have to use 80% to actually provide healthcare.
Preexisting conditions can't disqualify you any longer.
Stay on parents insurance to 26 year old.
Seniors pay less for meds, etc. etc.
The biggest thing hasn't started yet. That is the requirement for all to be insured and exchanges to get insurance at reasonable prices, even if it requires government subsidies. That doesn't kick in until January, but people can start signing up on October 1.
So far about 1% more people are covered than before but it hasn't really started yet. However, the overall cost of healthcare has risen at a slower rate than it has in decades.
Our health care system has been way out of control for a long time. This reins it in a little.
If you don't get insured there is a small tax penalty, and this is because you can't be turned down at a hospital in an emergence. If you are not insured, it has to be paid from other sources.
There is a whole lot more to it than this. Is Obama care perfect - no, but it's a lot better than what we have been dealing with.
