This is an incredibly emotional 4 minutes, and the audio is as compelling as the video. It's got 20 million views on YouTube. We now have 43 camera on 21 glaciers around the world, and each camera snaps one photo per hour. Volunteer teams unpack the memory cards and send them to us. This is the Extreme Ice Survey, which was the subject of the award-winning film Chasing Ice, which can be found on iTunes and Netflix.

your field of study by all of the scientist which are paid for by government grants. are what they pay for. they tell the gov. what they want to hear. so the government can create new taxes and fees to pay some one to have a nicely paid cushy job at the expense of tax payers. aren't you tired of always paying higher and higher taxes? I sure am. oh how I wish I could run my household budget like our government runs theirs. I wouldn't have a need or want for anything. id have it all. cars, houses, planes, jets and maybe a couple of them big tractor trailers converted into rv's so I could play billy big rigger. shit i'll just let everyone else pay for it so it wont cost me any of my own money. that sounds pretty good to me. what ever happened to the hydrogen powered car Honda was working on? I don't hear anything about that car any more. but that wouldn't make any waves so the damn polititions could raise every ones taxes. burn hydrogen push out water from the tailpipe. wow that would be a environmentally sound proses. they can't have that though. makes to much sence. I just don't believe in this globale warming or as they call it now days climate change. the earth was flooded once , been frozen over several times and now it's going though another change. you aint gona stop it . it will go through it's proses and what comes will come. if your worried move to higher ground. have a good day

your quotes may be very true. what I don't understand is this. why not build a refinery in Canada to refine all of that oil up there instead of sending it all the way to Tx. to be refined? there isn't that many job to be gained by piping it down to Tx. anyway. plus iv'e heard it's going to be shipped over seas any how. I do believe in having our own oil dependence . but why doesn't Canada pipe it to there own coast to ship it out?

Well, I'm not sure if what I'm about to say has any part in global warming (I believe it does) but the air force manipulates the weather every single day.

For some people it's hard to tell real from man-made weather conditions. Obviously, they don't remember what real cumulus clouds look like (The basic cloud forms are cumulus, which are heaped clouds; stratus, which are layer clouds; and cirrus, which are wispy) or never look up at the sky to even notice. You'd be surprised how many people just bury their heads and don't want to know anything about it. This situation of weather manipulation is openly listed on the Air Force web sit.

That's a good and intelligent question. From what I understand refineries in Canada have gone from 40 (back in the 70's) down to 19 currently.

Many parts of the pipeline are existing infrastructure that we use now.

Maybe building extra legs to the pipeline heading south is cheaper / easier than building a refinery and piping it from the area of the oil sands to the coast.

I'm really not an oil guy, I'm just guessing.
Good questions. I don'[t know the answers and you don't know the answers. The point is that we have the very best probability of finding answers with climate science and neither of us has the vaguest idea what is known, what is yet to be determined and what do about It if it isn't already too late. To be certain it is a hoax is not the best way to bet.
There are so many other more profound greenhouse gasses other than CO2, calling carbon dioxide a obvious culprit is laughable. Methane production dwarfs CO2, and methane is not the only issue, chlorofluorocarbons have been a greater concern much longer still. This whole BS over global warming in the media is absurd and a terrible joke perpetrated by big business and big brother. Is climate change occurring? Absolutley yes! Is it man made? Doubt it! Unless you consider the cows we raise.

So, research into polio vaccines were paid for with government grants and we still took the shots didn't we? Simply because government pays for something doesn't mean the data is automatically tainted. Jobs in academia don't go away simply because you don't have a government grant! If you want to be suspicious of something be suspicious of those scientists working for the Koch brothers and big energy who will be fired if they don't produce data that debunks global warming. Or do you think the Koch brothers will keep funding research that puts them out of business!!!

Still doing your projection I see AA. Keep it up 200 more times and maybe it will be believable..

Canada is trying to keep it (they are currently building a massive refinery in Edmonton) but getting it for the American market means $ for American refineries and a big boost to our oil exports, which pays much more money, and are currently limited by law(there is no limit to the export of Canadian oil however).

Nice try, but polio research had a goal. Cure polio.

They didn't report that the vaccine worked when it didn't.

Global warming is different. The conclusion was reached before the studies and the studies are tweaked, stretched and manipulated to get to that final paid for conclusion.

besides the refinery in edmonton, canadians looked at building a pipeline to british columbia coast near vancouver, but the complications involved in building pipelines over moutains is too complex and expensive. canadians also looking at building a pipeline to lake ontario where they can ship oil out via the st.lawrence seaway. but until then, canadians are stuck with rail car delivery to houston.

The conclusions weren't reached before the studies. You're talking about what the Koch brothers are paying to have put out and what, by the way, you have no trouble buying hook like and sinker!!!

You're wrong.

They are obtaining the conclusions they were paid to get.

Its the Koch bros fault? Bwah, hah, hah, hah, hah. That is stupid on steroids. Well kudos for not blaming it on Bush. There is that.

How can you conclude one year is hotter than another one when the difference is less than half of the uncertainty of the measurement?

You don't do much Science, do ya sonny? :)

I believe that the climate changes constantly and I also believe that man has very little, if anything, to do with it.
