Obama promised to transform America - perhaps now a few more are learning what he had in mind - the USSR, East Germany and Red China must be getting envious -

Yeah, he's really on a roll what with his army of sociopaths he has appointed and all the Executive Orders he has issued and all the policy mistakes he has made. And apparently his followers are content to become 3rd world citizens. Problem is that his term ends - then what? If he allows another Presidential election, I assume a non-Democrat will win, and we can get rid of all this socialist crap and return to normal. For that very reason I believe he will prove to all that he is conducting a political coup and he'll find a way to remain in office. No one in the current Administration will buck him, and the way the pubbies have been tippy-toing around and doing nothing, I also doubt they will buck him.

I hear the military and the police in various places are becoming more forceful against peaceful citizens and less interested in the US Constitution - so it's possible our great country will fold into a socialist dictatorship, but I hope we will be able to give them enough trouble that they will wish they hadn't attempted it.

I believe we may well be heading towards a collapse, but not the way you suggest. Our dissolution will look more like Greece - and even the many governments of Italy - a decline and a lot of division - when we cannot support the many from the work of the few - and many of those who lose their benefits will turn ugly. So many of those on disability today will find renewed vigor and the ability to protest aggressively.

I don't champion the republicans - I was one for 50 years and left them a few years ago. But "just as bad" as democrats? Nope, not true by any stretch of the imagination. Democrats of today are not "democrats". They are socialists and they want to make our country socialist. As to legislation: I hate all legislation, would like to see most of the laws on the books rescinded. Every law denies some American some degree of freedom. The only laws we need are those against: murder, malicious homicide, irresponsibility, theft, breaking and entering, fraud. We have so many laws on the books that even the people who work with them cannot count all of them. If Congress would stay home for a month, we could perhaps get our footing, but with them mucking around constantly, the citizens don't have a snowman's chance in hell.

Yes, I agree. What happened to the GUTS in this country, or rather the political parties. No one has the balls to say it like it is and DO something about it. Man! If I was up there on Capitol Hill heads would be reeling (or ROLLING). Don't you think it's time to get rid of the gutless, freeloading, overbloated spineless morons we call politicians and START AGAIN!! I wish!!!

Not even close. People forget Bush passed those bills because funding for the military was included while democrats piled pork on, roughly 1.38 billion worth, things like minimum wage, NOAA, peanut storage, shrimp industry and a small boat load that had nothing to do with troops.

I agree the Repub leadership or the lack thereof is a moot point:thumbdown:

They are spineless and have no balls totally useless .

When I became old enough to reg I looked at both parties and chose the GOP as it looked to me like that had the same outlook .

The laws passed by Congress last year was fewer than at any point since 1947, and they will have 239 vacation days in 2013. They just got back from vacation and will be leaving on another one next Monday. I'm sure they have accomplished something that you want since they have not passed a single bill of President Obama's. They have not passed one single jobs bill, but continue to complain about people being on food stamps. They filibustered the Veterans Job Corp Bill 2012 and now we have 900,000 veterans on SNAP. That must have been some progress for you.

Speaking of government moochers, I wish you would tell your GOP governors to stop mooching off of the Blue States. That is where that redistribution of wealth comes from, the Blue States sending money to the Red States. If GOP governors paid their own bills there would be fewer Socialist. Really, my answer to this problem is to defund Red States and watch them go bankrupt.

Rick Santorum declares that President Obama is getting America hooked on the "narcotic of dependency" and Romney warns that government programs "foster passivity and sloth".

Moochers Against Welfare - Red States
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/17/opinion/krugman-moochers-against-welfare.html

Not only do Red States take more Federal money their constitutents need more government subsidies.

Food Stamps Use is Highest in Red States: The Truth Republicans Do Not Want You To Know
http://www.policymic.com/articles/14007/food-stamp-use-is-highest-in-red-states-the-truth-republicans-do-not-want-you-to-know

It is just mind-boggling what those Red States spend their Federal handouts on, it definitely is not roads since that frigin Texas governor is letting his roads go back to dirt and gravel after they were torn up by all of those trucks hauling oil. It looks like the future transportation for the Red States will be the horse and buggy. Whoopeeeee!

THE FUTURE TRANSPORTATION FOR THE RED STATES. BACK TO THE PAST JUST LIKE THEIR POLICIES
THE FUTURE TRANSPORTATION FOR THE RED STATES. BACK...

True! The reason I quit the pubbies was because they are so wimpy - hence do NOT represent me. Once the gov shuts down, there will be chaos and pain, but in the long run it may be the best thing that could happen for our nation.

You know, there has been another mass shooting. Shouldn't you be out buying more weapons for your arsenal before the government comes and takes them away. Oh wait, wouldn't the government be taking away all of those new guns you would be buying? I believe another AK15 was used.
