This hasn't really hit the net yet, but it's all over the news. I had mixed feelings about this woman, so I won't make any comment but I'd like to hear what you guys have to say.

She had a very biting sense of humor, much like Don Rinkles(sp?). Sometimes she was hysterical. At other times, I thought she was too insulting. But, she was a comedic legend. She will be missed by many.

After plastic surgery I could never tell whether she was laughing or crying. I'm not sure she can actually close her eyes when she goes to bed.
At least the funeral home won't have much work.

LOL!
She was such a card that I think she would laugh at that line, too.
Joan was very funny. I enjoyed her comedy but she was just an entertainer and they are treated like royalty in America which is sad.

I see a malpractice/wrongful death suit coming really soon.

I guess depends on how much Joan left Michelle....if there isn't anything in the piggy bank, you may be right!

You mean Melissa? I don't think it'll make any difference because if the hospital screwed up the operation on her throat they'll be paying off big time.

I find no joy in Joan Rivers death. However, I could not stand the woman. She did many things beyond the pale, viciously ridiculing Elizabeth Taylor among hundreds of others.
I especially detested her use of holocaust jokes. Apparently she thought, her being Jewish, inoculated her from criticism. Even non-Jewish Jimmy Fallon had to cut her off at the knees when she wouldn't stop with such vile "humor".
I don't believe poor judgment and poor taste require the death penalty. However, for myself, I can truly say that I will not miss her and her demeaning nasty sense of humor.
Condolences to her family.
I was not a big fan; but she did tell a funny one now and then.

show quote)
I wasn't aware that she told Holocaust jokes. If she did, that really is beyond the pale. I know recently she make a joke about the women in Cleveland who were kidnapped and held prisoner for a number of years and she refused to apologize. It's one thing to be a comic, but I really think there are some lines which are inappropriate to cross.
Damn, she was my favorite Hollywood Square! ;)

I agree. Who ever advised her to have surgery at a clinic , not a hospital was wrong. Any 81 year old needs to be in a hospital for any procedures involving anesthesia. Doesn't make any difference how healthy you are. I just wonder how much of the decision had to do with health insurance, although she probably could've just paid for it. What a shame.
You mean... "Michael"? ...the tranny???... Lol....
