The Hispanic migrants have no designs on your rifle. Not to worry. Many, however, do have sinister designs on picking your produce, busing your tables, and preparing your restaurant meals. Many are even plotting, as we speak to..........mow your lawn....in spite of your "get the hell off my lawn" sign.

Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented. Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.
They had to have a sponsor who had to promise to care for them, no welfare in those days. So, not one of them came for a free hand out.

They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought alongside men whose parents had come straight over from Germany , Italy , France and Japan. None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan . They were defending the United States of America as one people.

When we liberated France, no one in those villages were looking for the French-American or the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we
carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting
pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I'm sorry, that's not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900's deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.
Today the immigrants coming from Mexico do not want to become Americans for the most part, they want to drive out those who fought for it. They want to take Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California back under Mexico control. The Muslims coming here want to put America under a caliphate.
(the Islamic form of government representing the political unity and leadership of the Muslim world.)
I fear America is lost, and it will never return. We just don’t have what it takes to hold on to it.

apparently, Skott does not live in Reality. You have it Correct to the 'T.' I hear ya, but I'm ready when a Muslim comes to my door and asks the three questions: 1) Convert? 2) Pay jizya? 3) die? That's reality, we don't have enough red-neck militia left.

I agree with part of your statement...We do need to get rid of every liberal democrat in Washington and the whole country....then we could remove all the illegal aliens , seal our boarders, repeal Oboma care, get out of the united nations, repeal NAFTA. , kill all the terrorists, Streamline welfare and food stamps, end reverse racism, try Oboma and his cabinet for treason then hang them in the rose garden.....If we could do all that..then we might still have a chance as a country...

I wholeheartedly agree about Ben Carson, but Huckabee...No. He is mr. friendly with everyone, that's true. But, he quietly supports some of the elitist programs (common core, for ex.) which are designed to subvert our freedoms and subjugate the american people. He's slick.

Good post. I agree with everything you wrote except your last sentence. America has been trying to bring democracy to the world, and it will continue to do so. We will get our southern border secured (Why have previous presidents and Congresses allowed it to be unsecured for so long?), and we will defeat ISIS and the other terrorist factions in the Middle East. It will take time. You sound as if you have given up. Don't.

For a few reasons

None of those nations have a border with the United States
None of them are flooding the USA with illegal immigrants
Many Jews have dual citizenship so I would agree with you there and question their loyalty

Some Mexicans use the term "reconquista," which is Spanish for reconquest, to describe their desire to see California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas acquired by Mexico and named the new country of Aztlan. They are teaching their youth that the United States "stole" those areas from Mexico and that they should be "returned."

Comments by the Mexican President on US Soil are especially concerning

"This is the other Mexico," he said of the United States, which is home to an estimated 11 million Mexican immigrants.

What are your thoughts on Jews who embrace the stars and stripes of the Israeli flag with its star of David.

How about the members of the old Italian American clubs who used to fly both the Italian and American flags?

How about those folks who fly the confederate battle flag, which represents a former enemy entity of the United States?

What about Texans who like to fly both the stars and stripes flag and the lone star flag.

Why single out our Hispanic neighbors who enjoy flying both the American flag and the Mexican flag?

You're not paying attention. Someone who is undocumented is hardly likely to fly the Mexican flag. Someone with no papers will do everything possible to not draw attention to themselves.

Most Hispanics I know, like most Anglos I know, fly neither the Stars and Stripes nor the Mexican flag, with the eagle perched on the cactus.

This is not a very flag waving part of the U.S. and the places you are most likely to see any flag is on government buildings. The exception mostly being the homes of retired career military personnel.

Do everything possible not to draw attention to themselves?

Like publish articles in the Washington Post? Like Jose Vargas?

Or the thousands who protested for amnesty a few weeks ago?

Do you liberals ever think before posting such idiocy?
