Unless our country is directly threatened, do you believe we should get involved in the Russian/Ukraine skirmish. We should stop being big brother to all countries, and quit sending money that is used only by foreign governments to benefit only those governments. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Tough question Bob. At first blush I would say to stay out of it. But, then I have to stop and think about the humans that will be or are being harmed. This is one of those things that will take much thought.

Depends a lot on any treaties or agreements we have signed on to. Got to maintain our integrity with NATO allies.

Hmmmm. One thinks we ought to get out of the U.N. federal reserve, IMF, Central banks and commerce with all nations....alliance with none...Quit selling our natural resources or land to foreign countries. And careful with any treaties that under subterfuge attempt to undermine the Constitution of this Country....That's all I'm saying????

Liken it to bush who signs martial law edicts against the people and state's rights, liken to prez Obama who attempts to get rid of guns and or registration, or the same Hillary would/will do if put in position. Be Vigilant lest it sneak up on you like a thief in the night as the sneaking up of the loss of our constitution. Getting it NOW...???

Unfortunately foreign aid is very difficult to change. It is a one package deal where only the amounts are adjusted. Countries cannot be taken off the list.

I, too, am tired of playing the policeman and gifter to the world but have found no way to change anything except voting.

At least part of what is currently the Ukraine is historically Russian. For instance, the Crimea. Part of Russia for hundreds of years, then unilaterally given to to Ukraine by Nikita Krushchev, who was, himself, Ukrainian. This is what happens when politicians make National boundaries for political convenience, rather than political and religious reality. The British and Russians created the current Afghanistan out of thin air, ignoring the racial, cultural, religious and political ties that had existed there for hundreds of years. Same thing with the creation of Iraq out of "Trans-Jordan," [another artificial creation in of itself]. I think we have poked our noses into other people's affairs enough for a while. We need to clean our own house, starting with the Southern Border.
We do not have the capability to sustain combat operations in Ukraine. We don't have the economic muscle for meaningful unilateral financial censure, and have no business doing so even if we did. We should probably stay in our own hemisphere for a while, and put our own ducks in a row.

I sort of agree with staying in our own hemisphere except there is a very large group of people that ARE going to attack the U.S. here at home in fairly short order unless we become involved to the extent to destroy that group. That would be what is currently being called ISIS or ISIL or any other large organized group that wants to force their radical beliefs on the U.S. These people's leaders are directly threatening the U.S. and with Obama's open border to the South, who is to stop them? We need for Obama or someone that overthrows Obama to destroy this threat, wherever they reside. Including the UK with the help of the UK government. We need to rid the world of these cockroaches.

I hate to say this but our US government and the EU are the problem; we are the one who started toppling the former elected president of Ukraine using the Neo-Nazi group to do it. Russia is being accused of the crime that it did not commit.

The US and NATO should not be involved in Ukraine, period. It should be between Ukraine, EU and Russia to work it out their differences.

Russia is our enemy. We should do whatever we can to weaken her. I believe we should build up our exports of Natural Gas if practicalble to undermine the Russians aggressive nature. If we let Putin do whatever he wants, he will overrun all of Europe and then we will have a real mess. So, short of "boots on the ground" I have not problem helping the Ukraine or any other European country against Russia.

Its a good question, and the answer came directly from the pro-Russian fighters commander himself.

And I Quote: We (the Russian speaking minority in the east) only want to live our lives as we see fit. To be free of the Western Dictatorship out of Kiev as administered by the US and the EU. (pretty blunt there). He went on to state - "We have a junta government in the west trying to purge any and all true RUSSIAN citizens out of Ukraine because they would not / did not vote for the fictitious government installed in Kiev. Sure, there are Russian fighters alongside of us" he said, "but they are there by choice. Seeing their countrymen murdered and others fleeing their homeland is not something they are going to tolerate. But, they are there by free choice, they were not sent by Moscow.."" The interview is available on several fronts, namely Freedom Outpost, Eagle Rising, and InfoWars. If I could remember its URL, I would post it.

Basically, we need to stop meddling in the affairs of the world, especially trying to install a puppet government that will not be tolerated..

I truly hope that Putin sends Obammer packing. What happens in Ukraine is soley Ukraine's and Russia's business.
