I said earlier that there's a lot of that which goes on here. Even though you and I both happen to be conservatives, wouldn't you admit there's a lot of it which goes on on our side as well as the left?

DB, why do you seem to vassalate so much. When you are reasonable you have great points. Why do you have to slip downward into rude behavior and name calling. I believe you to be far more intelligent than you appear at times.

When you fall into rudeness, even while speaking about trolls; I can't help but think of the old saying," The pot calling the kettle Black."

Just a thought from one who wants to be a friend.

JMHO, TAUGHT EVERYTHING I KNOW. IF YOU DON'T LIKE SOMEONE THEY'RE A DUMMY OR IDIOT OR WHATEVER. NEVER ANSWER THEIR QUESTION-JUST ACCUSE THEM OF BEING A LIBERAL AND IDIOT AND TELL THEM THEY ARE FULL OF SHIT. BRILLIANT!

Why does every thread have to end up like this?

Phil......That's what I'd like to know. Did you noticed how few of replies were made before this one took a dive?

Yes, I totally noticed and I was just thinking about making a comment to that effect. I know you and I rarely agree on anything but I've noticed that you tend to be more civil than most of the people here (on both sides) and so I try not to give you too hard a time even when I totally disagree with you. What people here keep failing to understand is that you can disagree without being obnoxious and mean to the other person. I've made this point over and over again, that OPP is not a forum like Mediaite where you have hundreds of anonymous people taking cheap shots at one another and never being accountable because you never hear from them again. OPP is more like a community where you deal with a lot of the same people repeatedly, and as far as I'm concerned it really doesn't pay you to be consistently mean to people here. I personally have become good friends with someone here whom I started out fighting with like cats and dogs. At the end of the day it really does make you feel better when you're nice to people you disagree with rather than getting into these nasty drawn out fights with them.

Well I am guilty of rude behavior at times, old habit of self defense , but I have and will continue to work on being more civil.

Compared to some you are an angel and a voice of reason. You are fine. Truth never has to apologize. It is just the way that it is presented that can hurt or cause problems.

Thank you, but I just wish I could reach more people. Like I said, I've made the same point several times but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I guess all I can do is try to live up to my own words.

One thing about this type of communication; one never knows who may read what is written. Some folks write just to feel something hitting their fingers. Some write to start trouble; some write what is reality in their estimation; some write to honestly help and inform.

IMHO, we should all remember in the end, we will be held accountable not only for our actions but also for our words. I dislike the term "Positive Thinking," because so many scam artist have become rich by their books etc.

I like the term "being an encourager." Being honest, truthful, civil, and teachable. No one here knows all there is to know on whatever subject which may popup.

One can tell what a person knows by the number of words they use. Laphil, I enjoy your post.
