I believe that in 2 years I will be voting for Rand Paul, in the Primary at least, and hopefully in the general election. My reasoning is rather simple. Since 1960 (Nixon v. Kennedy) for the young voters out there, Every Presidential Winner was the candidate with the most Charisma. Start counting back and it becomes obvious. Its a total myth that only Conservative Republicans win. So many uber Conservatives hold up Reagan and think that if you aren't as Conservative as he was you cant overcome the Democrats in November. That is so untrue. Look at the recent losers. Romney, McCain, Kerry, Gore, Dole, Bush 41, Dukakis, Mondale, Carter, Ford.......all the way back to Nixon losing to Kennedy. Thy all had one thing in common. They lost because the other guy had more Charisma. Period. If you don't look good on TV and if you don't have a personality, it doesn't matter what you support, you lose. So I am going with the most charismatic Republican that is running so we can win in November, Rand Paul.

By all means, do your calculations, as though you were betting on a horse. Is it that important to vote for who you perceive to be the likely winner? It seems that you may be part of the problem.
I like Paul and hopefully vote for him. He just don't have the slick lying tongue to go with his good looks. People like that too. For me, I like a straight forward , constitutional minded man. He don't have to be perfect, but love America and care for Americans, black, white, poor, rich and the working class that pays the governments bills.

===================================
Rand paul, like his father Ron is the best available.
Ron was at first ignored, then lied about, libeled, slandered , and ridiculed by other politicians and the press.
The only exception to your statement is that Kennedy won because of fraud in Cook county Illinois. After Kennedy was president, the fraud was uncovered, proven, and admitted.
When quesrioned about his intentions, Nixon said that Kennedy was in fact the president and it was too late to undo that.
Rand Paul is a true American like his father Ron Paul. If Ron Paul would have been elected for president we wouldn't be in the mess we are now and there would be a lot more jobs for all. Why do I say that? Well Ron Paul would have down sized the big government, cut the unconstitutional taxies. Business would have had a lot more money to hire people. Prices would be lower as production would be up because business's would have more money to invest. The problem is that the people can't see the forest because the trees are in the way. Do the right thing and vote Ron Paul in as the next president. You will be glad you did!
I cannot totally agree since George McGovern rallied the youth with his Anti War campaign in 1972 and Nixon was anything but Charismatic.

Those who bow to the money win the election. Money buys votes and the lack of money loses every time.

Dr. Ben Carson won't bow to big money either.

This is so true. Elections over the past 30 years or so have been basically a popularity contest with little or no interest by the general population in the candidates' character or what they stand for.
