The other interesting thing is that the Hospital in Oahu hasn't put up a plaque stating Obama was there nor has any other place in Hawaii put up any plaques stating anything about his birth in Hawaii. But in Kenya quite the opposite is prevalent. The Hospital where he was born has a plaque out front. His grandmother still attests to the fact that she was there when he was born in Kenya. I believe his half sisters and brothers over there also attest to him being born there. I would think that if he was in fact born in Hawaii on the island of Oahu that there would be plaques commemorating where and when he was born. Of course if they can't prove it, it opens them up to liable. The hospital where he supposedly was born should have a copy of his birth in their files listing the physician, the assistant the anesthesiologist, nurses etc. non of that has yet to surface.

I live in Hawaii. I never met Obama but know people who grew up with and have known him and his mother from birth. These are ordinary people, credible witnesses. When this cock-a-mamy drivel first emerged local people here were at first incredulous, then contemptuously dismissive and the issue rarely surfaces today. As I pointed out in an earlier post the GOP
leadership(?) when pressed grudgingly concede they think he is a legitimate President. If there is some massive conspiracy then the GOP and people like Bill OReilly are willing and complicit parties to the fraud.
(Does compelling logic ever come into play in the minds of some of you people?)
If there is a conspiracy then it is to create a clever distraction
about Obama's legitimacy while vulture corporations like Haliburton loot the public treasury in the name of national defense (aka the "war" in Iraq).
Every moment we waste on this kind of distraction takes away from the real issues about fixing the economy. We are the fiddlers on the afterdeck of the Titanic, just providing some entertainment while the ship goes down by the bows.

Glenn, "the whole world is laughing their butts off". Have you ever travelled outside the US? I travel extensively and the near universal response I hear about Obama is massively favorable. I do not agree with all his policies but in the interests of lay journalism I feel obliged to report the obvious, but perhaps that is because I am not hampered by ideology from the right or the left.
Fatuous statements like the above only reflect your opinion which while sometimes interesting is in the end trumped by the facts of the big picture.

I don't care how nice the people in Hawaii are that you know or who they are it still does not make OIllegal a natural born citizen. According to the Constitution of the United States of America (hello) to be president of these United States you have to be a natural born citizen. It doesn't say anything about how nice the mother was or wasn't as that has nothing to do with it. A natural born citizen again requires that both the mother and the father be an American citizen and Mr Barack Obama senior was not and never was an American citizen. I don't care if he was born in Washington D.C. he is still not a natural born citizen. I don't care if these people were there at his birth and held him right after his birth unless they could magically change Obama the elder into a US citizen Obama the junior will not ever in this life or the life hereafter ever be qualified to be president of the US. So it appears that the captain of your ship the Titanic is Obama and yes at the rate he is destroying America we are indeed heading to the bottom of the sea. This is a beautiful picture of this president and you are right, he is about that observant, because he keeps hitting the same iceberg over and over again.

Thank you for the nice informative albeit sarcastic response. You appear to concede that Obama probably was natural born in Hawaii. Just that has father was not. (I'll take that as progress.) Perhaps you could explain why the Hillary
Clinton camp overlooked this little gem in their ferocious efforts to discredit Obama (far worse than the GOP).
You did not address the main point I made however about the economy. Obama IS and most likely will be the President for the next 3 years. No doubt the post mortem on his Presidency will be far and wide. It is a done deal my friend. I don't really care if he hangs for some undiscovered misdeeds in the future, we just need to heal this country and move on. Real people out there are suffering from the misdeeds of both parties and that is where I would prefer to see the energy go....into the big fix.

I conceded nothing about Obama being a natural born citizen. Didn't you read what I wrote to you. To be a natural born citizen both of the child's parents MUST be United States Citizens at the time of the child's birth. It has NOTHING to do with where he was born. It has to do with his parents nationality at the time of his birth. If Obama senior was a United States citizen at the time of Obamas birth then Obama junior would be a natural born citizen. Obama senior was not and never was a United States citizen therefore Obama junior can never ever be a natural born citizen, ever, ever, ever, impossible, no way, can't happen , never will happen, and not possible. Do you get the picture yet . Obama can't ever be a natural born citizen.
