So you say you were “MAGA” “long before” DJ… There was no MAGA wing of the Republican party until DJ turned it into a buzzword, then took over almost the entire party to the point that many people who were lifelong Republican conservatives either left or have been driven out, while people like me, who used to have sympathy for and even held SOME conservative views have been so completely turned off by the new MAGA Republicans - people of your ilk - that many of us will likely never again vote for another Republican. If they can’t get their house in order, it’s time the party died a quick death and is replaced by one with more common sense.

It’s a sad thing to say about the party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Eisenhower - great Republican Presidents. But when it’s at the point that you all today would refer to presidents like those three as RINOs and almost certainly vote for DJ over any one of them… It’s time.

It simply takes someone who
A) Reads the rules of a forum they decide to join ( before posting on it ).
B) Agrees to follow the rules
C) Is BRAVE enough to go against the crowd and actually provide the help asked for by Admin., whether or not they are disliked for it.

While I was not on OPP when this topic was posted back in 2017 by Admin (who had been on OPP 5 years at that point) it's pretty clear from the post that he/she needed help.

I thought that I would set up a political forum and allow as much freedom on it as possible. I thought that free exchange of ideas with minimal restrictions would result in exciting conversations.

I imagine it would take some time to establish the "new normal" of what's considered acceptable on this forum and until the general atmosphere of discussion here adjusts. During that time, I'll be deleting posts, suspending accounts, and permanently banning those who just refuse to stop insulting others. The reason I created this announcement is to have a place where I can refer people when I take administrative action.
