I remember getting tires for a lot less than that before Jo-flation hit. That reminds me of last year, but this year I finally got my tax refund, after I whined about Biden's IRS holding it up on technicalities. However, to get back to last year and old wives tales, or at least old wives. Last year my wife wondered why I did not share the tax refund with her. She surmised that half should have been hers. On the surface that sounded reasonable. She and her cousin typically fly to either Florida or California each year to see relations and the money would be useful.

" So, my dear you want to know what happened to your half of the tax refund ", I exclaimed. I like that word exclaimed. " Do you remember that your car, which is 10 times as nice as the scrap I have driven for 38 years ? Your car needed 4 tires. Then there were property taxes, our vacation at the beach, bailing out one of the kids, etc. etc. etc. "

I said this year, " I will be happy to pony up the refund this year, if you will cover the various capital expenditures that come up during the year. " I don't think she will take that deal.

Whew, good thing they have the edit and update. At first I said old wives tails instead of old wives tales.

I have a life long friend. His and my bassinets were side by side in the nursery, his grandparents lived down the block. He aced every class in school, except for gym. He aced every class in undergraduate, masters program and law school. We were discussing traits in future spouses. He looked at me and told me; ”You know I am going to need a spouse who understands she may need to make sure I am zipped, buttoned, have matching socks and shoes on and things like that. The everyday things speed through my mind while I am on mental projects.” Fortunately, he found just such a woman. Educated does not always translate to real life.

I know plenty of people with advanced degrees that work as lawyers and college profs, most of them are libs.

And most of them are as dumb as fenceposts when it comes to matters known as simple Common Sense.

It's almost as if the smarter they think they are, the dumber they are in real life.

This also explains why over educated people tend to side toward branden, who coincidentally is also as dumb as the same fencepost but faked the advanced degrees, with a Double PhD in Pandering.

Take a look at the "qualifications" of the ones in his so-called administration - degrees from Ivy League schools galore. And most of them are flat out stupid. If they don't have advanced Ivy League degrees they are likely non-white and / or gay. Remember that Box checking is the ULTIMATE credential.
