Truly confusing to remember which past boss of the USA must be remembered for which act..

for instance... Was it the truth, or just one more of the lie about it and do it anyway stratagy that was used to steal the SS trust fund and run guns to south America.. more and more of the lies by the right wing come home to roost..

A Reagan Legacy: Amnesty For Illegal Immigrants
JULY 4, 20102:12 PM ET
HEARD ON ALL THINGS CONSIDERED

As the nation's attention turns back to the fractured debate over immigration, it might be helpful to remember that in 1986, Ronald Reagan signed a sweeping immigration reform bill into law. It was sold as a crackdown: There would be tighter security at the Mexican border, and employers would face strict penalties for hiring undocumented workers.

But the bill also made any immigrant who'd entered the country before 1982 eligible for amnesty -- a word not usually associated with the father of modern conservatism.

Part of this aversion is due to what is widely seen as the failure of Reagan's 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act. However, one of the lead authors of the bill says that unlike most immigration reform efforts of the past 20 years, amnesty wasn't the pitfall.

"We used the word 'legalization,' " former Wyoming Sen. Alan K. Simpson tells NPR's Guy Raz. "And everybody fell asleep lightly for a while, and we were able to do legalization."

The law granted amnesty to nearly 3 million illegal immigrants, yet was largely considered unsuccessful because the strict sanctions on employers were stripped out of the bill for passage.

Biden could easily stop his open border policy IF he really wanted to do so. He just doesn’t want to do so.

It’s become a HUGE problem for our national security, for our own citizens along with the enormous expense Biden policy has laid at the foot of those who actually pay taxes.

Just curious...

Since printing too much much money is a primary cause of inflation and fractional reserve banking insures that we only print (or add) money that is being loaned, how do you suppose we reverse it?

There is only one way. By cancelling debt. For every dollar of cancelled debt, there is one less dollar in the economy.

Biden may have bragged about decreasing inflation but he was talking about the rate of inflation, not the amount of inflation. We could go to an inflation rate of 0% and we would not feel any better because the dollar is still devalued compared to a year ago... because there is still THAT many dollars in the economy. The ONLY way to bring the number of dollars back down and actually deflate, is to cancel debt.

Have the Republicans thought of this? I'm sure some of them have but they never bring it up. Has Biden? Oh. Apparently he has. He's targeting student debt. Sure, let's see how it goes. And boy, did we hear Republicans shrieking!

Well? WTF do you want to then?

All we EVER hear from Republicans is how the Democrats keep failing at this or that... Well, why don't YOU try? For once... Let's see if ANY Republican can provide a plan for deflation. Get us back to where we can buy a week of groceries for less than a week of pay.

All ears.

Not a small pocket at all. President Trump was elected on the Republican ticket because the voters decided that a new candidate with policies than the radical left was offering needed change. Having been a supporter of both parties, running with new, candidate Trump was a very positive change and was the path they wanted to support. And they did.

How many times Linda must we repeat the facts for you.. yes.. the SC halted Joes plan for loan forgiveness, what Joe did was perhaps above the thinking limit for the right wing orange troops... he used existing law, much of which had been relegated to gather dust in anticipation of a larger more encompassing action.. and the forgiveness done is fully in compliance with the existing laws.. so Joe is NOT violating any laws with the loan forgiveness program now moving slowly in America.. Joe is OK..

By the way, I am not a strong advocate of the loan forgiveness, but I am concerned about the extreme cost of higher education.. from college to trades,, full training needs to be available to all americans.. how to do it is a difficult process.... as always..

Yeah, like how he was born in Kenya... Someone even posted a picture of the fake birth certificate so it must be true. LOL... And WTF does it matter anyway? He was obviously black enough to cause a reaction from white racists. I was in North Carolina when Obama was elected the first time, and I remember seeing the racism leaping out of the wood work. I mean serious knee-jerk resentment. I remember standing in line at a grocery store when one peckerhead saw a black woman further up the line and start talking shit about how the woman probably feels privileged now that a black man is in office. He wouldn't shut up until I threatened to punch him in the face. I think he was shocked that I wasn't agreeing with him.

So was THAT Obama's fault? No, it wasn't. Whether you want to admit this or not, America is filled with racists that learned to keep it to themselves for the most part, but when Obama came along, THEY were the one's dividing the country through their own stupid shit. Obama himself did nothing to encourage it.

The fact is, I have some serious issues with Biden. For instance, I strongly oppose his support for the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people.

Don't assume that the support for Biden is a cult of personality like it is for Trump because it's not. We don't run around with Biden hats and Biden flags. We don't by tickets to Biden rallies. We will support him in the 2024 election because, all things considered, we think he's a better choice than Trump.

That’s a given. Anyone who watches Biden as he campaigned vs now can see with their own eyes just how quickly Biden has physically and mentally deteriorated. It’s not going to get better.

His policies are hurting our American citizens… the middle class the most. Biden has gone over to the very radical left, but as long as whoever is really using his cognitive challenges to their own radical ‘fundamental transformation of America’ only needs to keep Biden happy by providing him with his ice cream cones that make Joe so happy.

Americans deserve to know who is really causing/using Biden to promote their own anti-American agenda. Shouldn’t be something that’s intentionally kept from We the People this long. UnAmerican in action.

Even some in the black communities pointed that out. Good on you for being one of the informed. Didn’t keep the dividers from using that as a reason to elect him anyway. (They were racists if they didn’t).
