Lily,

Follow up to last night. I checked WFB. The recommended physician has retired; however, his daughter has taken over the practice. Her creds are quite good. Just an FYI.

It's not *your* thread. You may have started it but you don't own it.

If you're going to post your opinions on the Internet for all to see, you should expect to deal with contrary opinions from those reading it.

If what you are posting is nasty... such as implying that fellow members want to see Trump murdered, then you should expect a little heat.

Personally, I like the humorous route, which is why I said Trump's murder would spoil the fun of watching him destroy himself.

If that kind of response get's you so riled up that you feel compelled to insult others, maybe don't post such antagonizing messages to start with. As they say, if you can't take it, don't dish it out.

The elder would probably prefer a female. I’ll check her creds and then talk to the elder about seeing the new person. It saves having to maybe go to Duke not there is a single thing wrong with Duke medical. **worried AuntiE will think insult to family Duke med grads**

After your comments, you are correct. Your elder may be at a stage a woman would be preferable. This woman did premed at UVA, Med at Duke, residency at WFB. She hits the top three!

Here is the list: Duke Med=4, Baylor Med=6 and let us not leave out UVA Law=9. Then there is me who did both and am in neither field.

Liking those creds! I’ll show the elder.

Are you kidding? They thank their lucky stars I did not follow tradition. Without me, their writings would resemble kindergarten scribbles minus the crayons!

The ballot is stronger than the bullet because the majority will convict the folks who attempted to override the ballot with violence. If we don’t respect our own democratic rights then we are prey for any gangster.

Ballots can be "manipulated" as BOTH parties have claimed.

The most interesting thing to come out of this thread is only one of the progressives clearly enunciated they found the threat unacceptable. That was TJKMO. The rest used mealy mouth non answers.

LOL - So they're obsessing over me again?

You know how they hate it when people challenge their narrative. Most of them are indeed very frightened people. That's why so much of the Republican narrative is based on fear-mongering, it's what they respond to. So immigrants are all murders and rapists and Keri Lake is telling us we need guns to defend ourselves from scary bad people. Notice how often they make references to military vets. That's a mental security blanket for them. They think all vets are on their side and that they can actually tap into the power of the military.

The problem with that is that vets don't have access to the intelligence systems, air superiority and multi-billion dollar budgets that sets the U.S. military apart. Without all that, vets armed with rifles are only as effective as the garden variety terrorist. In fact, between a Syrian terrorist and an American vet, I would bet on the Syrian simply because they don't get the chance to get soft.

It's a shame these OPP conservatives get so wound up by all this fear and delusion because at the bottom line, you're right... I "do" have the same tradition that many of them purport to have.

Because you shoot down their fallacies with coherently stated facts, backed up with evidence, they get very ruffled.

And then venomous, as we've just seen with several regular posters.

It's amusing.

There are several that have left. Some may have had different opinions but always treated everyone nicely with no insults. There a whole crew now that write two line garbage, one line of which is insults. It’s just to get clicks.

I've noticed that since even I, have joined. It's getting really hard to have a decent conversation without being insulted somehow

You missed absolutely wonderful times of frivolity. We had a crew and held monthly online virtual parties. Because of the frivolous times, we were able to interact in a non confrontational way on political issues.

One threat would be ”I don’t agree and am going to cannonball dive you at the next party”. See, no pejorative or hateful rhetoric.

You still seem to have missed the point we do not shoot down his facts as the group who knows his scum heart do not read them. He brought it upon himself and knows it.

Maybe that's why I try to interject humor with some replies. Eases my tension at least.

I like the cannonball!! Perhaps some water balloon dodge ball?
