good, I truly think it should be ajoke. like it or not it is funny..

Wonder what copper wire is worth.. thought the price went down when wars slowed down.. maybe it all went back up..

I should mention these old light/traffic signal posts they open and rip out the wire have a sealed access at the base and after removing they pull out all the wire and are gone in 60 seconds or so it seems.. and when it started those old panels were not in any warehouse and finding them was a challenge.. so lights were out for days if not weeks..

You are still in zombie mode are you not? Can you tell us anything that happened today? I am not making fun. I know last night was a nightmare (pun intended).

When our back cooper gutter had to be replaced, Mikey cut it into one foot sections and made us put it in our house. He said it would vanish if not. He gave us the name of two places to check for pricing. It paid for three months of car insurance.

Remember several years ago people were stealing cooper from buildings, even churches.

Too funny - I must have been half asleep by the time I finished. After I sent the thing off I gut an email back with about five edits wanted and three of them were either typos or omissions. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« Fixed as soon as I got home (at 4) and promptly fell asleep. So now my nocturnal clock is going to be set ahead by three hours. πŸ˜‚

I still say the meme is simply pun-ishing though. πŸ˜‰

I still have one cooper gutter left. It is over our front porch. Because we keep a 150 watt motion sensor light in the front porch, it seems safe from theft.

Certainly not all those who have had to take on two part time jobs over the one they used to have.

I didn't see where they covered how toxic the LED process is.
Like solar........ 10 times dirtier that what we have now

Plus they cost more up front.

Solar and their electric vehicle batteries are going to become a huge toxic waste disposal problem when they need to be replaced.

LEDs do have a dark side.
A study published in late 2010 in The Journal of Environmental Science and Technology found that LEDs contain lead, arsenic, and a dozen other potentially dangerous substances.
LEDs are touted as the next generation of lighting,” says Oladele Ogunseitan, one of the researchers behind the study and chair of the University of California (UC)-Irvine’s Department of Population Health & Disease Prevention.
β€œBut as we try to find better products that do not deplete energy resources or contribute to global warming, we have to be vigilant [about] toxicity hazards".
Ogunseitan and other UC-Irvine researchers tested several types of LEDs, including those used as Christmas lights traffic lights, car headlights, and brake lights.
What did they find? Some of the worst offenders were low-intensity red LEDs, which were found to contain up to eight times the amount of lead, a known neurotoxin, allowed by California state law and which, according to researchers, β€œexhibit significant cancer and noncancer potentials due to the high content of arsenic and lead.” Meanwhile, white LEDs contain the least lead but still harbor large amounts of nickel, another heavy metal that causes allergic reactions in as many as one in five of us upon exposure.
And the copper found in some LEDs can pose an environmental threat if it accumulates in rivers and lakes where it can poison aquatic life.

Copper has increased 66 cents a pound since February, the current price is $4.3955 per pound wholesale.
