It’s the mayonnaise killing my budget. I like a little sandwich meat with my mayonnaise.

Right now, I can't eat bread. I'm on a strict diet to bring my A1c back down to 5.9 again (which is a good number).

Everything is up. Things are so bad, the Dems are contemplating scrapping the term "Bidenomics". One day they insist they're not going to use it anymore...the next day just the opposite.

Oh, do rolls of a slice of sandwich meat around a slice of cheese. It is like a breadless wrap.

By the way Dukes mayonnaise is sugar free and diabetic friendly.

I don’t drink coffee. Soda is my caffeine. It went from $1.99 in 2021 to $3.89 in 2023. I restrict myself to only 12 ounces a day to save money.

Appreciate the info!!! I might try some romaine wrapped around some ham and provolone, and a big dollop of "Dukes". I can't even eat "klondike bars, Heath", but I cheat once in awhile...don't tell anybody.

Years ago I read about a woman who made up her own diet. 5 and a 1/2 days a week she stuck to dry toast and juice in AM, tuna or chicken salad lunch, lean meat and veggies dinner. On the weekend she did full breakfast on Saturday and big dinner with a potato for dinner and a dessert. She lost her weight. Said having three treats kept her on her rigid week day diet.

With your health, may make a middle week day a treat day instead of every thing on a weekend.

Thks for that interesting and informative post. Today was my 'cheat day'. I think that was smart. Shoot, l'm down to no bread (have keto bread 2 grams, no likey), no pizza, no potatoes, no sugar, no ice cream, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Lot's of variations of salad. Bacon and eggs in the morn.

Do Saturday and Wednesday as treat days.

I once heard people with diabetic issues should intake sugar type foods in the AM as they use up the sugar through the day.

Don’t know if that’s true. If yes, Heath Ice Cream for breakfast Wednesday.

Sounds pretty good. Problem is if I don't get back to my 5.9 like before, it's insulin time. Not particularly interested in shots everyday in the belly. I should behave.

Definitely time for behaving!!! One good thing is good vegetables should be arriving soon. It’ll be hard. Maybe shoot for lower than 5.9 so you are safer. I’ll be sending positive thoughts toward you.

I don't know how you feel about milk in general...drinking/cooking but the Fairlife brand has half the sugar regular milk does
