Maybe he does now.

From the article:

He told an Iowa evangelical gathering he had never asked God for forgiveness — a central tenet of the Christian faith — and he repeated that again on CNN. He's declined to cite his favorite Bible verse or even his favorite testament. And the Presbyterian church he says he attends in Manhattan has said he's not an active member.

Those discrepancies haven't mattered yet to many evangelicals.

Will they ever?

"When Guthrie Graves-Fitzsimmons, communications director for the BJC Center for Faith, Justice and Reconciliation, saw Trump’s Bible endorsement, he said he saw a politician using fears rooted in racism and prejudice to promote a specific Christian ideology.

“When I hear ‘Make America Pray Again,’ I hear Christian nationalist promises that we are going to somehow ‘restore’ Christianity in this country. And if authoritarianism does come to the United States, it’s all but guaranteed it will be done in the name of Christianity, which is a very scary thought.”

Graves-Fitzsimmons holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City and also works with the group Christians Against Christian Nationalism. He says things like the “God Bless America” Bible overlook the many, many Christians who do not agree with Trump’s politics or the blending of patriotism with faith."

“There is a diversity within American Christianity that gets overlooked whenever politics and religion intersect,” he told CNN. “There’s this false notion that most American Christians are pushing for anti-abortion restrictions, and are anti-LGBTQ, and the opposite is actually true. Christians, I would argue, are the ones who are most concerned about the effects of Christian nationalism in this country.”

We know that you are hard of hearing so you are probably hearing the wrong info as usual. You hear what you want to hear and tune everything else out. That is not a positive way to travel through life. This derelect you are quoting sounds like a new age, leftist trained divinity minister. I would avoid listening to him at all costs if you are smart.

Don't be so sure...

[Jesus said:] "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’" Matthew 7:21-23

If you know the Bible so well, why won't you discuss what passages in Revelation make you consider the mid-triband post-trib views? You said Revelation is your "go to" on this.

I do not like to take verses out of context from Revelation. If you remember the end of the book, we are warned not to.

Indeed, He did say that.
I hope all who claim to follow Him know the passage and reflect on its meaning often.

You are closing your eyes to the truth. Or have had them closed.

No, it doesn't say not to take things out of context... it warns everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll that if anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll and if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

Exactly. So to me, taking things out of context would be like taking words away from the entire prophecy.

The book in its entirety is the Lord's Revelation to John, handed down to us from the early Church fathers.

You can't have a discussion of a few verses, it has to be the entire book. And this is not the place for it.
